What is e-Dirham System?:
e-Dirham (electronic smart cards) is an advanced approach for collecting government revenues instead of traditional ways (i.e. financial stamps and receipts of income). The system offers simplicity and ease of usage, and utilises latest and advanced technologies.
1- Issuance of New Government Client Card (for individuals):
Requirements:
1. Filling out the application meant to issue new government client card.
2. A photograph of the one who applies for the card.
3. A copy of passport and valid visa (for non-UAE citizens).
4. Providing the service without fees.
5. Issuing the card takes 15 minutes.
2- Issuance of new Government Client Card (for Institutions):
Requirements:
1. Filling out the application meant to issue new government client card.
2. A commercial, industrial or professional license.
3. A copy of the passport of the institution’s owner or the authorized person
4. Approving signature by showing the establishment’s card or obtaining a notary’s authorization.
5. A photograph of the one who applies for the card or his representative.
6. A copy of the passport of the one who applies for the card, in addition to a copy of his valid visa (for non- UAE citizens).
7. Providing the service without fees.
8. Issuing the card takes 20 minutes.

Adding New Service Fees in e-Dirham :
Definition :
** This service allows the addition, modification or deletion of service fees provided via e-Dirham.
** This is for the benefit of federal, local or private entities using the system upon the issuance of a resolution by the Cabinet, its delegate, or whoever has the power to impose fees. To carry out collections via the system, fees must be added on the date of implementing the resolution to the system, as this is the approved method for collecting federal service fees.

** implemented by the date of implementation of the resolution concerning the fees.

** MoF website or the regular mail.
Target Audience :
** the ministries, federal authorities, local government entities and the private sector
Service implementation procedures/steps :
** Receiving the application form from the concerned entity to add or modify service fees via e-mail, fax, or regular mail. The form should be attached to a formal letter and the supportive adopted resolutions.
** Verifying the application to ensure its conformity with the attachments.
** Adding/modifying/deleting services in or from e-Dirham.
** Sending a list of the fees included in the system to the requesting entity to review and approve the list.
** Printing and sending the list of fees to the technical support team to activate it on the POS and e-collecting machines, as well as on the website of the entity if it is used for collecting fees as of the date of the implementation of the resolution supporting the imposing of fees.
