Service Definition:
Registration of conformity is the provision of the minimum requirements of competence for licensed laboratories in the UAE, through the releasing of “No Objection Letters”, for the purpose of issuance and renewal of licenses by the related licensing authority.

This process occurs after conducting site assessments to ensure compliance with the requirements set by ESMA.

Service Description

Provision of the minimum requirements of competence for licensed laboratories in UAE through issuance of No Objection Letters for the purpose of issuance and renewal of licenses by the related licensing authority after conductance of site assessments to ensure compliance with the requirements set by ESMA

Terms & Conditions:
1. Fulfilling ESMSA requirements (CG-01) based on the accreditation requirements specified in ISO/IEC 17025
2. Facilitating assessments site assessments and surveillances
3. Payment of registration fees and costs in advance
4. Continuous compliance with the registration requirements

Service Steps & Procedures

1. Applicants apply for registration and provide all required documents within 45 days.
2. ESMA reviews the application to ensure completeness of all documents and issue the cost bill.
3. After fees payments, ESMA performs disk study to review the documents provided and conducts site assessment in collaboration with the applicant.
4. If requirements are not met, ESMA communicates with the related licensing authority to suspend /withdraw the license

Fees

** Application for registration of CAB – 1,000 per application
** Document review by assessor from Authority – 2,500 per assessment
** On-site assessment by assessor from Authority – 3,000 per assessor per assessment

** Issuance of NOC valid for (6) months from the date of trade license issuance – 300
** Registration of CABs activity valid for one year – 1,000 per registration
** Renewal of CAB’s registered activity – 800 per renewal

** Lifting suspension of registration within (60) days from the date of decision – 500 per suspension
** Amendment in any of the listed activities within the registration scope of the CAB – 500 per change
** Issuance of a replacement of registration certificate – 500 per certificate

Basic Conditions For Registering / Cb Certification Of Products :
** Locally manufactured or imported products and the company responsible to the product shall register and comply with this General Requirements and the relevant approved standard for the product to be registered under the Emirates Conformity Assessment Schemes.

** It is the responsibility of the Manufacturer for locally manufactured product or the importer for the imported products to register the product/s to ESMA.

** Application Form. Application from an applicant other than the manufacturer shall be done online by both the applicant and the manufacturer of the product. By applying online, the applicant and the manufacturer agrees to comply with these General Rules and with the Specific Product Standard for the product covered by Registration / CB Certification
