The easy way to keep track Many of our delivery services now include tracking, enabling you to view your item’s progress during the delivery process.

Tracking your item is as simple as 1, 2, 3:
** Visit the online tracking tool
** Enter the item tracking number (or Article ID) in the box and click ‘Search’
** A tracking summary will appear, listing delivery information that has been captured at various scan points through your item’s journey
Email Track Advice*:
If a sender chooses to use our free Track Advice service for parcel deliveries, email notifications regarding the progress of the delivery will be sent to the recipient using the email address provided.

How much detail is shown on the Tracking Tool?:
The number of times an item is scanned during the delivery process, and the type of descriptions you will be able to view depends on the following:
** The delivery service being used
** How your item is lodged (whether it’s over the counter or dropped in a street-posting box)
** How your item is being delivered (by a local Postal Delivery Officer, courier or international postal organisation)
What stages in the delivery journey are captured?:
Tracking descriptions you are likely to see for your chosen delivery service are listed below. These may receive fewer or additional scans during the delivery process.
How long do I have to pick up my parcel from a parcel collection location?
** You’ve got 10 business days to collect your parcel once it has arrived at the post office you nominated as your Parcel Collect location.
** If your parcel isn’t collected within this time frame, the item will be returned to sender.
Can someone else collect my parcel from a parcel collection location on my behalf?
** If a personal signature isn’t required, you can nominate someone else to collect a delivery on your behalf.
** When you receive the email notifying you that a parcel is ready to collect, complete the collection authorisation section and get your nominated person to bring this to the post office you nominated as your Parcel Collect location, along with valid photo ID.
** Please note that some senders may require in-person collection by the addressee only, in which case the collection authorisation option can’t be used. If you’re ordering something online, you should be made aware of this when placing your order.
Can any carrier deliver my parcel to a parcel collect location?
** Australia Post will accept domestic and international parcels from other carriers to post office’s offering Parcel Collect, if those parcels have been lodged by the carriers as Australia Post articles addressed to the recipients’ Parcel Collect address.
** To lodge the parcels into our network, the carriers must pay Australia Post for the service. StarTrack is a business of Australia Post, and parcels carried by StarTrack will be accepted for delivery to Parcel Collect locations.
