How to Notify a Change of Address :

Principle and conditions:
You can notify a change of address at one single reception desk. The staff will pass on your details to the other relevant departments.

** You should renew your Monegasque identity card .
** Go in person to Monaco Town Hall, taking your old identity card with you.

Of Foreign Nationality, Resident in the Principality :
** You should renew your resident’s card .
To do so, you must provide :
** Proof of property ownership or a lease
** For people accommodated with others: a certificate of accommodation, to be completed in person + proof of ownership of the person with whom you are staying

** The two most recent electricity bills
** You passport or identity card, for people of French nationality

You will receive confirmation of receipt by mail, telephone or e-mail depending on your chosen means of contact (your telephone number and e-mail address will not be used for any other purposes.)

Some departments might contact you to inform you of steps to be taken following your change of address.

You have the right to access and modify data concerning you. This right can be exercised via the Department of e-Government and Public Information under

Act no. 1.165 of 23 December 1993 on personal data protection.

Authorities that Might Have to be Informed of Your Change of Address :
** Public Car Parks Office (car park season ticket, etc.)
** Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office (driving licences, car registration documents, technical inspections, etc.)
** Monaco social service bodies (medical and family benefits and pensions)
** Business Development Agency (trade activities, industrial and intellectual property)
** Mairie (Town Hall) (home help, various types of social help, etc.)
** Department of Maritime Affairs (navigation licences, boat registration certificates)
** Department of Electronic Communications (radio licences, satellite TV, etc.)
** Journal de Monaco (subscriptions to the official journal)
** Monaco postal service (there is a charge for this service)

If your children attend schools in the Principality, or if you are a student with a grant or you are employed in an educational establishment:
Department of Education, Youth and Sport, stating the relevant educational establishment

If you are a civil servant or work for the Government:
** Human Resources and Training Department (employment, allocation of housing, etc.)
** State Medical Benefits Office (medical and family benefits)
** Department of Budgeting and Treasury

If you are a council tenant or rent State property:
