Mobile to Mobile Payments – Paym :
** Use your mobile phone to pay people with Paym
** Paym is a mobile to mobile service that lets you send and receive payments quickly and securely using just a mobile number.

** It’s offered by many banks, so as long as the person you’re sending a payment to is registered for Paym with their own bank, you can send them payments using just their mobile number.
** This service is available to you if you use Online and Mobile Banking.
** All you need to do is register your current account in Online Banking to receive money, then use our Mobile Banking app to send money from your mobile phone using the mobile number of the person you’re sending the money to.
** There’s no need for account numbers or sort codes.
** You can send small amounts, like the cost of a cup of tea, or larger sums such as your share of a night out or household bill, up to a limit of £250 a day.
Get Started :
** To get started with Paym, you need to register your mobile number in Online Banking, then – because you use your mobile phone to send payments – you need to sign up through the mobile app.
Register in Online Banking to receive money :
** Log on to Online Banking to register your mobile number and nominate your Santander account for Paym
** Select ‘Mobile Payments’ from the left hand menu and follow the instructions
** For security reasons, we’ll send a One Time Passcode to your phone to complete your sign up
** Now people can send payments to you using just your mobile number. You’ll receive a confirmation text when someone has paid you.
Register in Mobile Banking to send money :
** Make sure you have the Santander Mobile Banking app – use the button on the right to download the app if you haven’t already
** Select the current account you want to make payments from
** Select ‘Mobile to mobile payments’ then a new screen with a ‘Register to send’ button will appear
** For security reasons, we’ll send a One Time Passcode to your phone to complete your sign up
** To make a payment just select the contact or type in the mobile number of the person you want to pay and if they are registered for Paym you’ll be able to make payments straight away.
** You can pay anyone with Paym, as long as they are registered with their own bank or building society.
** Most major banks offer Paym and it’s free to send mobile-to-mobile payments between banks.
** Our Mobile Banking app is available for iPhone, iPad or AndroidTM phone users.

Payments are free and safe :
** Using Paym means you can pay amounts of up to £250 per day using just your mobile phone.
** You can pay anyone, as long as they are registered for Paym with their bank or building society.
** What’s more Paym is free to use. You do need to have Santander Online Banking and Mobile Banking so that you can send and receive payments.
** Our Mobile Banking app is available for iPhone, iPad or AndroidTM phone users.
** Because Paym was developed with the major banks and building societies it is a safe and secure way of paying.
** When you make a payment you’re logged in to Mobile Banking, so any information about your bank account and the amounts you send and receive are safe behind your log on details.

You’re safe because :
** You use your Online Banking log in details: transactions are completely secure behind your log in details for your Online and Mobile Banking.
** You don’t need to share your bank details: people who pay you through Paym only need your mobile phone number.
** We send you a One Time Passcode: when you register for Paym or ask to change the way you use it, we’ll double check it’s you by sending a One Time Passcode to your mobile.
You’re covered by our Online and Mobile Banking Commitment :
** as long as you take precautions (like keeping your security details private) if in the unlikely event funds are taken from your account as a result of fraud, we will refund you and restore your account to the state it would have been in had the unauthorised payment transaction not taken place.
If you lose or change your mobile phone :
** Your bank details are still secure. We don’t store account information on your phone and Mobile Banking is protected by the security details that you enter when you log on.
** For this reason as long as you’ve kept your log on details private your accounts will be secure.
** If you change your phone number, you’ll need to call us on 0800 917 9170 to let us know, and re-register to send payments through Paym using your new device.
** If you keep the same phone number, you’ll just need to re-register for Paym with your device.
