Apply for Permit Dependant Pass :

Permits :
** The DGIE issues two categories of residence permits: Temporary residence permit and Permanent residence permit

Note :
This applies to all permits :
** Diploma, Police Clearance, Marriage certificate and Birth Certificate should be translated in English or French.
** Police Clearance should be original only.
** Immigration officers to certify a copy of other documents if the applicant is in possession of original documents.

M1 Dependants of Rwandan :
Eligible Person :
** This sub class shall be issued to any dependant of a Rwandan national upon request.

Where to apply :
** Applications should be submitted at the Directorate General of immigration and Emigration.

Travel document :
** Any genuine and recognized travel document valid not less than 6 months.

Validity of Permit : 3 years

Permit Extension :
** This permit may be extended upon application.

Change of Status :
** Change of status is permitted

Working in Rwanda :
** Work is permitted upon request made through the Director General of Immigration and Emigration.

Number of entries :
** This class of permit allows the bearer Multiple entries in Rwanda.

Certificate of Good conduct :
** Applicants are required to provide a certificate of good conduct from recognized law enforcing authority from the country they have been residents for minimum of last 6 months.
** This certificate has to indicate whether the applicant has not had any criminal convictions.

Transcription :
** For the applicant whose permit is in the expired or lost passport, will pay 10,000Frwfor the permit to be transferred in the new passport.

Requirements :
** One colored passport size photo with white background recently taken without glasses, caps and scurf; (the photo should be attached to the application form by use of glue stick.
** Stapling and clipping the photo to the application form is not advisable).

A completed application form :
** Permit application letter addressed to the Director General of Immigration and Emigration.
** Marriage certificate of the applicant;
** Birth certificate of the applicant;
** Original Police clearance for the children below 18 years old
** CV to dependants above 18 years

M2 Dependants of Temporary Resident holder :
Eligible Person :
** This sub-class shall be issued to a dependant of a temporary resident holder.

Where to apply :
** Applications should be made at the Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration.

Travel document :
** Any genuine and recognized travel document valid not less than 6 months.

Permit Fees :
** Half of the principal applicant

Validity of Permit :
** Shall have the same validity as of the principal applicant

Permit Extension :
** This permit may be extended upon request by the applicant

Change of Status :
** The holder of this permit is free to may change his status.

Working in Rwanda :
** Work is permitted upon request made to the Director General of Immigration and Emigration and the applicant must fulfill all procedures and requirements of work permit.

Number of entries :
** This type of permit allows the bearer multiple entries

Certificate of Good conduct :
** Applicants are required to provide a certificate of good conduct from recognized law enforcement organ of the country where the applicant has been a resident for a minimum of last 6 months.
** The certificate should indicate whether the applicant has not had any criminal convictions.

** For the applicant whose permit is in either the expired or lost passport, will have to pay 10,000frw for the visa to be transferred in the new passport.

Requirements :

** Notified marriage certificate for the married applicants
** Notified birth certificate for a child
** Copy of the resident permit for the principle applicant.
** CV for the dependants who are above 18 years

M3 Dependants of Permanent Resident holder :
Eligible Person :
** This sub class shall be issued to a close relative or any other person who may be considered as a family member of a holder of permanent Resident permit.

** Half of the principal applicant

Working In Rwanda :
