Before you start :
You need these to complete the application :
** your MCS certificate number
** your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) number
** personal information and bank details
Things you can prepare :
** if you need to be metered for payments please have your “Metering Questions” provided by your installer to hand
** invoices stating both the cost of the system and labour to install (these will not affect payments or your eligibility)
** we recommend you open our Application Form Help sheet while you complete the form
** Your eligibility to receive payments depends on you supplying us with the correct information in this application (and it’s your legal responsibility to do so).
** This includes the correct first commissioning date for your system, found on your MCS certificate which you should have received after it was installed.
** All parts of your renewable plant must have the same first commissioning date and the heat generating part of the equipment must not have been used before this date.

** We carry out audit checks to identify cases of non-compliance and suspected fraud.
** In such cases, we will seek to impose sanctions, such as recovering RHI payments or cancelling membership to the scheme.
** Ofgem E-serve has a zero tolerance approach to fraud.
** Where we suspect that we’ve been given false information to fraudulently obtain RHI payments, we may inform the Police.
What you’ll need :
To complete the application form for the Domestic RHI, you’ll need :
** Your Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS)open key term pop-up certificate number
** Your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) open key term pop-up number
** Your bank details so that we can pay you.
** Make sure that the name and personal details you use for your application are the same as on your bank account.
** If you’re unsure what information your bank holds on you, you can check the Equifax website
** Your metering questions, if you need to be metered
Documentation :
Your installer should give you :
** an MCS certificate (within 10 working days of the commissioning date)
** an MCS compliance certificate (and they should point out where the MCS installation number is on it)
** an itemised invoice showing parts and labour
** the completed Installer Metering Questions (for biomass or for heat pumps) document (only if your heating system needs to be metered).
** You will need this to complete the questions on metering in the application form.
** Also, there’s an Alternative Metering Arrangements (for biomass or for heat pumps) document that your installer will give you if required.
** advice on the heating system’s maintenance, servicing and efficient use.
** This is because you must keep your heating system in good working order throughout your seven years on the scheme.
** They should also explain what actions might invalidate the warranty.
** advice on how to use and read your meters (if you need them).
