5. What is the procedure for the issue of certified copies of Companie’s documents kept by the Registrar of Companies?
Any interested person may apply to the Registrar of Companies for certified copies including the following information provided that he has paid the prescribed fees: Directors, Shareholders, Certificate of Incorporation, Registered Office, Goodstanding, Capital Memorandum & Articles of Association.
The payment may be made by cash or by cheque in the name of the Registrar of Companies. The applicants abroad may apply for certified copies to the Registrar of Companies to the email address asofokleous@papd.mof.gov.cy, deptcomp@drcor.mcit.gov.cy or eterion@drcor.mcit.gov.cy.
The payable amount may be reemitted to the Central Bank of Cyprus (SWIFT CODE: CBCYCY2NFBU) through Target 2 for the credit of Government General Account no. CY16001000010000000006001010 in favor of Registrar of Companies & Official Receiver. The payment may be also effected through the Cyprus Embassy in the applicant’s country to account (N.14.01.04.1.00.206).
6. What is the procedure of Registration of a company in Cyprus?
An application has to be made to the Registrar of Companies for the approval of the name. For this service, the payable fees with normal proceedure, is £5, €8.54 and with urgent proceedure is £15, €25.63.

7. How are registration fees calculated and how are increase of capital fees calculated?
The amount of registration fees is calculated in accordance with the amount of capital. When there is an increase of capital the fee is calculated according to the difference between the fee payable on the nominal capital of the company and the fee payable on the increased capital.

The Sections which nowadays constitute the Department of the Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver were established in the beginning of the 20th century and used to be part of various government services such as the Customs and the Supreme Court.
In 1946 they were united into the Department of the Official Receiver and Registrar of Trade Unions, Companies, Trade Marks and Patents. As from 1960 the Department comes under the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism.
Although the Department of Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver offers for nearly a century its services to the world of commerce and industry, its role had never been so important and necessary for the entrepreneurs as it is today.
The Department of the Registrar of Companies is responsible, among other things, for keeping the Register of Companies, Partnerships, Business Names, Trade Marks, Patents and Industrial Designs and is also responsible for administering properties of insolvent legal and natural persons.
