** Welcome to the National Identity Card (NIC) Status Tracking Service.

This service is offered by the Department of Registration of Persons.

** Status of you NIC application processing can be obtained through this service.
** When you apply for a new NIC, you can track the status using the application reference number.

Following statuses are given :
1. Invalid Application Number
2. Application Not Received
3. Processing
4. NIC has been prepared and has to be sent
5. NIC has been sent to relevant DS office
6. Application has been returned.
