Online Application For Palace/Villa Visit :
The application procedure varies according to the site to be visited and the number of visitors. Starting with Step 1, you will answer a series of questions to determine the application format appropriate to your request.

Step 1 : Select the Place
Select the place you wish to visit from the “Places” menu.
Proceed to Step 2
Step 2 : Select the Course
Select the course from the displayed options. (* This page will not be displayed if there is only one route available for your selected site.)
Proceed to Step 3
Step 3 : Select the Month
The months available for your visit will be displayed. Select the desired month. (* Only months for which your desired tour is available are displayed.)
Proceed to Step 4
Step 4 : Select the Date
The dates and times available for your visit will be displayed on a calendar. Select the desired date and time for your visit. “O” indicates an available time, while “×” indicates an unavailable time.
Proceed to Step 5
Step 5 : Enter the Information for the Representative
Enter the name(first/family), home country address, phone number, email address, age, gender, nationality, and other information for the group representative in whose name the application is being made.
Single visitor : Proceed to Step 8
Group of visitors : Proceed to Step 6
Step 6 : Select the Registration Method
If there is more than one visitor in the group, select the method to use to register members’ information.
There are two ways to register members information :
“Enter the members’ information” :
Display the members’ input page, allowing you to enter group members’ online.
Proceed to Step 7
“Edit members’ information file and upload later or input later ” :
Enter the members’ information in the members’ list file downloaded from the “Get Members’ List Sample” page and upload later from the “Send Members’ List” page after your application has been processed.
Or input later from the “Send Members’ List” page.
Proceed to Step 9
(* For a group of ten or more,”Choose the registration method” page will be not displayed.
Edit members’ information file and upload later.)
Step 7 : Enter the Members’ Information
Enter the members’ information of the group applying for a visit.
Proceed to Step 8
(* Up to eight members (not including the group’s representative) can be entered for visiting the Imperial Palace or Kyoto Imperial Palace.)
(* Up to three members (not including the group’s representative) can be entered for visiting Sento Imperial Palace, Katsura Imperial Villa, or Shugakuin Imperial Villa.)
Step 8 : Review Entered Information
Confirm the information you have entered for this visit application.
Proceed to Step 9
Step 9 : Proceed to the “Application Complete”
Now that you have finished entering the information for your application, this page asks you to verify that you have received an application confirmation E-mail. This completes your online application for visit.
** If you have already entered members’ information, your application is complete.
** If you chose “Edit members’ information file and upload later or input later”, download the sample from the “Get Members’ List Sample” and enter the required information in the members’ list file. Once your application has been processed, register the information by uploading it from the “Send Members’ List” page.
