1. Renew your Check :
You must renew your WWC Check (Check) before the expiry date if you want to continue doing ‘child-related’ work.
Your Working with Children (WWC) Check is valid for 5 years.
Unless you are exempt, it is against the law to do child-related work without a valid Check or, in some cases, an Application Receipt.
2. How do I renew my Check :
Please go to MyCheck and ensure all your contact details are up to date. This will enable you to receive a notification by email, SMS, or letter 28 days before your Check expires. To renew your Check, register or log in to MyCheck then :
1. confirm or update your personal, contact and organisation’s details
2. pay the non refundable $102.70 fee by credit card if you are applying for an Employee Check.
Renewing a Volunteer Check is free.
When renewing, you can choose which type of Check you want to apply for. You can change from a Volunteer (V) to an Employee (E) Check or from an E to a V Check.

I am engaged in child-related work :
While you hold a WWC Check card and are engaged in child-related work :
** do not let another person use your card for child-related work

My card has been suspended during a reassessment :
You must stop working with children immediately. If you commit a serious sexual, violent or drug-related offence (Category 1 or Category 2 offence under the Act) the department will suspend your card and re-assess your eligibility to hold one.
