Caught in the Moment :
** The very essence of modern photography is that it gives the opportunity to capture forever, a moment which is fleeting, blink and you miss it.

The winner will be notified up to 28 days after the closing date of the competition.

** “The Decisive Moment” was a term coined by the pioneer of street photography, Henri Cartier-Bresson. Cartier-Bresson believed that “The Decisive Moment” was that split second of genius and inspiration that a photographer had to capture a certain moment.
** Whether it be a moment caught when the landscape provides a “wow” response, like the sun appearing through clouds, casting it’s beams across the skies; or maybe something in nature happens in front of our eyes and we feel privileged to have been witness to it, such as babies being born; or whether it is that moment between people, their faces showing the multitude of emotions that they are unable to speak.
** These are just a few of the many ways in which this theme may be interpreted and we look forward to receiving your entries with your own interpretations.
** The prize for this competition is a year’s subscription to the Digital Photographer magazine!

Competion Rules :
** All photographs must be of your own work.
** Images must have a title which reflects the subject of the work.
** Submitted image(s) must be high resolution (between 1MB- 10MB)
** Do not write anything on your image, as these will not be accepted for entry.
** Participants may enter up to 5 images for consideration.

Please note :
** Images will be judged for originality, creative interpretation and photographic technique.
** All images will be judged by an independent photographic artist selected by TPA.
** TPA will not enter into communication with individual photographers once the winner has been chosen.

Terms and Conditions:

** This Competition is open to all photographers aged 18 or over, except for employees or agents of The Photographic Angle (TPA), their families or anyone else associated with this Competition.
** All information detailing how to enter this Competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the entrant agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judge is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
** Entries should be submitted by via TPA’s website. We regret that we are unable to accept postal entries. Submitted image(s) must be high resolution (between 1MB- 3MB).
** All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and entrants must own the copyright. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images submitted do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Images must not be obscene, defamatory, distasteful, or offensive. TPA does not accept any liability for the publication of unlawfully reproduced images.
** Entrants may submit up to five entries. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
** All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date. Entries received outside this time period will not be considered. TPA reserves the right to extend the closing date where the entries received are of insufficient quality and/or quantity.

By submitting an entry to the Competition, entrants give TPA :
a. The non-exclusive right to reproduce it for any purpose at any time in any media with attribution. The winners consent to the use of their name and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by TPA, without further compensation.
b. The right to use the entrants name for the sole purpose of identifying them as the author of the entry and/or as a winner of the Competition.
** A judge who is independent of TPA will select one (1) winning entry from all valid entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Full details of the judge are available on the TPA website.
** The judge will select the winning entry within seven (7) days of the closing date. The judge’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
** Entries will be judged for originality, creative interpretation and photographic technique. The winner will be notified by email within 28 days of the closing date of the competition.
** If a winner does not respond to TPA within fourteen (14) days of being notified of their win, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and TPA shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is deemed invalid or in breach of these terms, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and TPA shall be entitled to select another winner.
** TPA reserves the right to disqualify Competition entries for the following reasons : the entry does not comply with these Terms and Conditions; the entrant is not eligible to enter the Competition; or the entrant cannot be contacted. In the event of disqualification, TPA may select a new winner in accordance with the selection processes outlined above.
** The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or any other prize.
** TPA reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control.
