How To Enter :
** Register, fill in the entry form and accept the T’s & C’s
** Upload a mix of no more than 30 minutes on Mixcloud.
** Promote your mix on social media channels
** Title the mix : “Emerging Ibiza 2014 DJ Competition – Your name”
** Tag the mix : “Emerging Ibiza 2014 DJ Competition”. If you fail to tag the mix correctly, your entry may be missed.
** Use the cover art provided here.
** Stage 1 – Entries submitted & reviewed within 7 days. Listened to by E.I Experts via private channel (mixes not accessible on our channels until they have been reviewed).
** Stage 2 – After 7 days if accepted the mix is available on the E.I Mix Cloud – public can listen, like share. Entrants can campaign & promote themselves via social media.

** Winning Entries will be judged on originality, style, technical ability.
** Entrants must not have played any venue in Ibiza before.
Terms and Conditions :
1. These terms and conditions govern the Emerging Ibiza Competition (“Competition”) and is an agreement between Emerging Ibiza and Competition entrants (referred to after this point as “You”, “you”, “your”, ”competitor”).
2. The Competition is a judged DJ mix competition, where entrant DJs will submit DJ mixes via internet upload, which will be listened to by our chosen panel of experts.
3. This competition is run by Emerging Ibiza Limited (“Emerging Ibiza”).
4. To enter this competition you will need to upload your DJ mixes to the Emerging Ibiza Facebook page, the Emerging Ibiza Soundcloud page or the Emerging Ibiza website www.emergingibiza.com by 31st August 2014.
5. This will constitute your “Competition Entry”.
6. By entering this competition and submitting a Competition Entry, you confirm to Emerging Ibiza that you have read, understood and accept these terms and conditions.
7. The Competition is free to enter and is open ONLY to DJs who are currently unrepresented by management and/or a booking agent. By entering the Competition you warrant that you have neither management nor agency representation as a DJ, recording artist or music producer.
8. You may enter as an individual or as a DJ Duo (defined as two or more DJs performing under the same stage name). If you enter as a DJ Duo all members must have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.
9. To enter this Competition you must be at least 16 years of age and by entering this competition you confirm that you are over 16 years of age.
10. If you do not understand any part of these terms you may not enter the competition. By submitting a Competition Entry you confirm that you do understand them.
11. The competition runs from 24th March 2014 to 31st August 2014.
12. Emerging Ibiza is not responsible for and will not accept any Competition Entry that is not received by 31st August 2014 or that is lost, delayed, misplaced, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason or is deemed in the absolute discretion of Emerging Ibiza to be unsuitable in any way. Proof of upload or delivery of the Competition Entry is not proof of receipt.
13. You hereby enter into a release with Emerging Ibiza in relation to your Competition performance allowing Emerging Ibiza unlimited worldwide perpetual royalty-free use of Emerging Ibiza’s footage of your performance and Competition Entry in all media. You hereby agree to be filmed and recorded by Emerging Ibiza in any and all media. You hereby grant Emerging Ibiza a perpetual worldwide non-exclusive royalty-free licence for the use of your name, likeness, photographs and any other material made available to, recorded or filmed by Emerging Ibiza in connection with the Competition. Emerging Ibiza reserves the right to publish and publicise details of your Competition Entry and ancillary materials either on the Emerging Ibiza website or elsewhere and to provide such details to the media.
14. You shall, upon Emerging Ibiza’s request, provide a competitor photograph.
15. By submitting your Competition Entry you agree :
a) To participate in this Competition, details of which you hereby confirm you understand
b) That you understand and accept all the conditions of Competition entry as laid out in this document;
c) To refrain from any action putting another other person at risk of injury whilst participating in the Competition, and to refrain from any activity or comment that might damage the reputation or goodwill of Emerging Ibiza;
d) That your name and likeness may be advertised and used in connection with your Competition Entry and this competition throughout the world;
e) That no other person will have any rights in the media footage of your Competition performance that are inconsistent with the terms of this agreement;
f) that your Competition performance footage may be modified and adapted for such purposes as Emerging Ibiza require;
g) To waive any so called moral rights and any right to equitable remuneration for the purposes of any rental or lending rights that may be deemed to be in existence in relation to the Competition performance or its footage, so that Emerging Ibiza may use the Competition performance footage in any way it deems fit;
h) That you are entitled to enter into this agreement and you are not (and will not be) under any contractual or other obligations preventing you from doing so;
i) To indemnify Emerging Ibiza in connection with any liability, claims, costs or damages arising as a result of your breach of these terms;
j) That it may not be possible for Emerging Ibiza to give a credit or give feedback in relation to your Competition Entry;
k) To sign all documents necessary for this release and licence, on request.
16. The Competition winner will be decided by the experts and announced on the Emerging Ibiza website.
17. The winning entrant competitors (the ‘Winning Entrants’) will be given the opportunity by Emerging Ibiza to sign a one year contract (the ‘Management Agreement’) with an electronic music management and bookings agent on industry standard terms. Subject to and conditional upon a Winning Entrant signing the Management Agreement after taking independent legal advice, each Winning Entrant will be offered the opportunity to perform one or more DJ sets at various events (the ‘EI Events’) organised by Emerging Ibiza in Ibiza during summer 2014. Travel, accommodation and expenses will be provided to such performers by Emerging Ibiza. The EI Events provisionally include the E.I. Break-Thru Festival in May E.I. Residencies, June to September & the E.I. Closing Party in Ibiza.
18. Emerging Ibiza reserves the right to disqualify any Competition Entry where the entrant is in breach of the terms herein.
19. No cash alternative will be offered for the Prize. The Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged.
20. The expert’s or experts’ decision in the Competition is final and binding and not open to challenge.
21. The result of the Competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
22. Emerging Ibiza reserves the right to modify Competition rules or cancel the Competition for any reason. In such a case, no indemnity or compensation will be given to the participants involved.
23. Entry and participation in this Competition is subject to these terms and conditions and your compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
24. Employees of Emerging Ibiza, or any company involved in the Competition, or any advertising agency or web company connected with Emerging Ibiza or any such person’s subsidiary or associated companies, agents or members of their families or households, are not eligible to enter the competition.
25. These terms and conditions constitute the complete and only agreement between you and Emerging Ibiza with respect to the competition and supersedes all prior oral or written understandings, communications or agreements not specifically incorporated herein.
26. If any provision of these terms and conditions are held to be unenforceable, such provision shall be construed or otherwise reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable and such decision shall not affect the enforceability of such provision under other circumstances, or of the remaining provisions hereof under any circumstances.
26. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. You hereby consent and submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
