Registration of Importer & Exporter :

** Importers and Exporters are required fill the TIN Registration form, attach the other required documents and provide soft copies of the photos of the Directors to their Customs House Agent.

** The TIN Registration form & other required documents are available at the customs.gov.lk—downloads—VAT Registration.

** The Customs House Agent should upload the details and photos to the ASYCUDA System.
** Next the Customs House Agent should come to Customs TIN Registration Unit to activate the company profile.

How to upload the director details are given below :
** Log in to the AsyCuda system. Click on Customs Headquarters and then on Company Director.
** Click on Create.
** Fill in the relevant company details.

** Please be careful to provide accurate company details.
** Next click on the Director tab appearing on the bottom of the page & fill in the details. Next click on the Image viewer.

** Please note that more than one director details can be uploaded in to the system per company.
** Click on “Import from image file”

** Due to space limitations of the Customs server end please ensure that the file size does not exceed 40 KB.
** Indicate the location of the file . Click on Open. Import the file. Next click on the save icon .

** You can resize the image using icons.
** Finally click on the eye mark appearing on the top of the page and next on the validate button appearing on the top of the page.
** You should indicate details of all the directors.

Importer Re-registration procedure :
1. Download the revised application from following URL – customs.gov.lk/downloads/vat/Amended%20FORM%20FOR%20THE%20REGISTRATION%20OF%20IMPORTERS(2).doc
2. Fill cages from 01 to 09
3. Skip cage 10

4. Sign the declaration, include company/director stamp/emboss in cage 11
5. Attach certified national identity card copies of all directors/partners
6. For Limited Liability companies, submit certified copies of Form 01/Form 20 obtained from Registrar of Companies

7. For Sole-proprietorship and partnership establishments, submit a certified copy of Business Registration Certificate
8. Get the declarant to upload photos of all directors/partners or proprietor to ASYCUDA World online system*
9. Visit the TIN/VAT division and submit the duly filled application form through the declarant

Application To Obtain Access To Sri Lanka Customs SMS Service :
Please be good enough to enroll our organization to the SMS service of Sri Lanka Customs. We hereby nominate the following employee of our organization to receive the SMS alerts.

We undertake to inform immediately to the Central Intelligence Unit of Sri Lanka Customs over the phone number 0112471471 if we receive a SMS alert which is not related to our organization.

We also undertake to immediately inform Sri Lanka Customs if the given telephone number is changed in order to suspend the access to the SMS service.
