Ontario Medical Schools :

The Ontario Medical Schools Application Service (OMSAS) is the centralized application service for applying to Ontario medical schools.

OMSAS must receive all payments for applications by October 3, 2014.

OMSAS Online Application :
Apply online for fall 2015 entry. All applications must be started (accounts created) before September 15, 2014 at 4 :30 p.m. ET.

Note :
After twenty minutes of inactivity, you will automatically be logged out of your account.
The OMSAS online application will be unavailable during nightly backups, from 2 :30 a.m. to approximately 2:45 a.m. (ET).

** Anyone considering entering a degree program in medicine should be aware of the guidelines developed jointly by the schools of medicine in Ontario. Any questions about the policy should be addressed to the university’s disability services or admissions office.

Step 2 : Create an OMSAS account before September 15, 2014.

Step 3 : Prepare and submit your application by: October 1, 2014.

Reminders :
** Please submit only one set of application materials and academic documents, regardless of the number of schools you apply to.
** Each Ontario medical school has its own admission requirements. Be aware of the variations in the admission requirements and make sure you qualify for consideration before forwarding your application to OMSAS.
** OMSAS will process and forward applications to all requested medical schools regardless of your qualifications or the completeness of your application.
** Contact the medical school directly for additional information about their academic program and admission requirements.

OMSAS Important Dates :
** Mid-July, 2014-The OMSAS online application is available.
** September 15, 2014 (4 :30 p.m. ET)-Deadline to register for/create an account for the OMSAS online application. Create your own account and do not take over an account created by someone else.
** October 1, 2014 (4 :30 p.m. ET)-Last day to submit applications. There are no exceptions.
** October 1, 2014-OMSAS must receive all transcripts and academic documents. This is a strict deadline.
** October 3, 2014-Payments made by online banking and Western Union Business Solutions – GlobalPay for Students (bank-to-bank transfer for international payments only) must be received.
** November 1, 2014-MCAT scores must be released to OMSAS.
** May 12, 2015-First date for offers of admission.
** June 30, 2015-OMSAS must receive your final transcripts.

OMSAS Fees :
All fees are non-refundable. Your application will not be forwarded to your university choice(s) until you submit full payment to the OUAC. Fees for withdrawn university choices are not refunded.
