What is PAC

MCI processes and issues Press Accreditation Cards (PACs) to media personnel from news organisations in Singapore. These include bona fide journalists/correspondents, photographers/camera crew, etc from the local news media as well as foreign news organisations based in Singapore.

Privileges of PACs

A PAC helps to identify accredited media personnel in Singapore. Journalists with PACs are given access to Government press releases and media invites disseminated through the Media Relations Division Duty Desk and the Singapore Government Press Centre website.

Accredited journalists are listed in the Media Guide which is used by PROs in Ministries and statutory boards to contact and invite the media, especially foreign media, to their events. PAC holders are also given access to cover events in secured places like Parliament and the Istana.
