Importance & Benefits
Due to the 13 year joint efforts of eTransformation between DSG and all government agencies and departments in Dubai, more than 1,500 eServices have been provided to clients in various sectors.
The eServices are available on the websites of these agencies, but each website requires a separate user name and password, making it problematic for users, resulting in an unnecessary barrier.
DubaiID is a single sign-on user name and password, so there is no need to memorize multiple user names and passwords, leading to greater adoption of eServices. The initiative is also in line with the directives of the leadership for a transformation into a smart government.
DubaiID uses the Emirates ID as verification for registration, since the electronic chip inside Emirates ID contains verified data about the account holder.
DubaiID has therefore been launched by DSG in coordination with EIDA and therefore the unified electronic access is subject to strong security standards consistent with the standards applied on “Dubai Government Services Integration Platform.”

In order to register in DubaiID online from dubaiid.ae, users should make sure that below are available: Emirates National ID Emirates ID Card Reader Emirates ID PIN number If users don’t know Emirates ID PIN code, then users should reset IDN number via (EIDA Kiosks or in DubaiID portal using “Reset PIN” option) Software requirements: – JRE 1.6 (Java runtime environment) should be installed in users laptop / desktop – Cross browser compatible tested on IE & Firefox & chrome
