Any foreign national who wishes to stay in Botswana.

What do you need to qualify for application of this service :
Students, Inclusions and Dependants :
** Two identical passport size photos of each person (taken at the time of application.
** Birth and Marriage Certificates or a certified copy thereof in respect of each applicant, if the applicant is unable to provide such proof of birth, a statement setting out the reasons must be attached.
** A copy of the court order in question certified as being correct by an official of the court which made it, is required (if legaally seperated).
** A medical report for each application.
** In the case of an employee, certified copies of the applicant’s certificates and references or testimonials.
** Business documents shall also be provided in cases of investors and the self employed.
** A proof of admission letter in case of students.

Persons who are above 18 are required to apply separately if they wish to stay in Botswana and their applications should be supported by the person(s) upon whom they will depend while in Botswana.

P1500.00

How long does it take to get response for this service :
It takes 30 days and customers get a response in writing.

NB : Please ensure that you have all the necessary documents as provided in the checklist for residence permit applications and/or renewals.

Requirements For Permanent Residence :

Employees :
1. Form 21, duly completed and signed by the applicant
2. Fee of P500.00 non-refundable
3. Two recent coloured passport sized photographs of the applicant(not computer photos)
4. If married, include the following :-
** Certified copy of marriage certificate
** Certified copy of birth certificate for children
5. Certified copy of Residence permit/Exemption certificate valid for at least not less than 3 months
6. Reference letter/confirmation of employment by the employer
7. Covering letter/application letter from the applicant
8. Certified copy of Passport
9. The Applicant Must Have Resided In The Country For A Period Of Ten Years Or Beyond

Investors :
1. Form 21, duly completed and signed by the applicant
2. Fee of P500.00 non-refundable
3. Two recent coloured passport sized photographs of the applicant (not computer photos)

4. If married, include the following :-
** Certified copy of marriage certificate
** Certified copy birth certificate for children

5. Certified copy of Residence permit/Exemption certificate valid for at least not less than 3 months

6. Valid and certified copies of :-
** valuation of shares
** share certificate
** certificate of incorporation
** list of directors (form 2)
** financial statement (current)
** title deed/lease agreement
** trading license

7. Wages record sheet of employees and it should indicate the duration of employment
8. Certified copies of identity cards for citizen employees
9. Covering letter from the applicant
10. Certified copies of the Passport.
11. The Applicant Must Have Resided In The Country For A Period Of Ten Years Or Beyond

Immigrants/Dependends/Missionaries :
1. Form 21, duly completed and signed by the applicant
2. Fee of P500.00 non-refundable
3. Two recent coloured passport sized photographs of the applicant/spouse/children(not computer photos)
4. If married to a citizen, include the following :-
** Certified copy of marriage certificate
** Certified copy of birth certificate for children
** Certified copy of identity card of the spouse
5. Certified copy of Residence permit/Exemption certificate valid for at least not less than 3 months
6. Letter of support from mission/spouse/supporter
7. Proof of means of support in Botswana
8. Covering letter/application letter from the applicant
9. Passport copies (certified)
10. The Applicant Must Have Resided In The Country For A Period Of Ten Years Or Beyond.
