The judiciary in the State of Qatar :
The judiciary derives its existence and entity from the permanent constitution of the State of Qatar, which is solely responsible for justice, independent of the rest of the authorities, and has exclusive jurisdiction to ensure justice in society and guarantee rights and freedoms.

The rule of law is the basis of government. (Article 135 of the Constitution) Every citizen or resident has the right to recourse to the judiciary.

The judiciary is the holder of the general jurisdiction in the consideration of criminal disputes, civil and commercial disputes, family disputes and legacies, administrative disputes and other disputes except acts of sovereignty and nationality, Independent judiciary and are governed by courts of all types and degrees (article 130 of the Constitution).
