The Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers two types of authentication services:
** Authentication of documents issued in Qatar
** Authentication of documents issued in foreign countries
Documents accepted for authentication must bear an original stamp of approval from Qatari authorities here or abroad (Qatari embassies and consulates).

Authentication Process :
Follow these steps to have your document authenticated:
Bring the original document to the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s Consular Affairs Department near the Islamic Arts Museum Roundabout.
Pay the appropriate fee to receive a stamp on your document.
Costs:
Authentication costs vary from QR20 – 150 depending on the document. In general, the cost for authenticating basic certificates, such as university diplomas, is QR20. The cost for authenticating more complicated documents is QR150. The cost for authenticating the Certificate of Embracing Islam is free.

The authentication of labor-related documents, such as employment contracts, falls under the Ministry of Labor’s jurisdiction.
