Procedures to issue a Saudi Passport:

** Personal attendance of applicant or his guardian; no representatives are allowed during applying or collection of the passport.

** Children who are more than fifteen years old must provide ID card and attendance of the guardians for those less than twenty one years old.
** Provide a valid Civil Affairs ID card along with a clear photocopy of it.
** Provide two recent color photographs of passport applicant, size 4X6 cm in vertical format and two (2) photographs of companions, size 6X4 cm and in horizontal format. Note: photograph background must be white.
** Pay the required passport issuance fees electronically.
** Passport duly filled in Arabic and English.

Important Notices:
** As for widow woman and orphans, their guardian must attend with authenticated document approves the guardianship.
** As for non-Saudi wife, if her Saudi husband died or she was divorces and she seeks Saudi passports, she must go to Civil Affairs office first.
** Regulations forbid adding companions in passports after its issuing, so keep this point in mind.
** In the case of translation of passport data, you should fill the form in both languages.
** Maximum number of companions allowed in the passport is four (4).

Requirements to issue passport for family member:
** Attendance of family guardian provided the beneficiary of passport, who is required to provide a written pledge on the issue, is present inside Saudi Arabia.
** Provide ID card and clear photocopy of it for sons for those more than fifteen years old.
** Provide the original Family Book and a clear photocopy of it.
** Provide two (2) recent color photographs of the beneficiary of passport, 4X6 cm in size, vertical format; and two (2) collective recent color photographs of the dependents, horizontal format, size 4X6 cm, white background.
** Payment of the required passport issuance fees electronically.
** Filling the passport, according to records in the family register in both Arabic and English languages.

Procedures to Issue Saudi Passport instead of Damaged or Lost:
** Personal attendance of applicant; neither designation nor agency, both in applying or receiving passport is accepted . In case of women, minors or people under the age of twenty-one, except those who were married, the guardian must attend; and provide the Family Book and a photocopy of it.
** Filling the passport application form according to the records in the family register, (family book) and the signing of this.
** Provide a valid national ID card and a photocopy of it.
** Provide damaged passport or remaining portions thereof.
** Provide two (2) recent color photographs; size (4X6) cm background of which must be white.
** Payment of passport-issuing fees electronically.
** Finishing the procedure to Issue Saudi Passport instead of Damaged.

Important Saudi Passport Information :

** The Saudi passport is an important personal identifier; its owner might be needed as a reference or the family guardian in case of women and children.
** The passport is a legal document; its owner is responsible for it. It is prohibited to be used by individuals other than the owner and the dependents. It must not be given to others, tampered with or defaced, precautions must be taken not to change its content (whether updating or deleting) or submit forged documents to acquire it illegally.
** Saudi passport is valid for five years starting from date of issue or until all pages are utilized. It is also valid for multi-journeys. In case of loss inside the Kingdom, the passport owner must report to the nearest Passports or Police Department. In case of loss outside the Kingdom, the owner must report to the nearest Saudi authority, write a report in the police department, an announcement must be published in the country’s press.
** Ensure that the passport is registered in the Saudi authority of the country travelling to; The traveler will benefit through the Saudi embassy in case of emergency or passport loss.
** It is prohibited to use a passport that does not belong to the rightful owner, Having more than one valid passport, changing any information or stampings in the passport will expose the owner to the statutory penalties.
** The validity of the passport must be checked before one leaves the Kingdom. If the destination is an Arab country, the passport must be valid for at least three months. However, if the destination is USA and Europe , the minimum validity should be for six months. The respective embassies in the Kingdom will not grant you a visa if your passport has less than the mentioned validation period.
** Inquire as to whether the destination country requires a visa before making travel plans. Please note that most world countries do not allow entry of passport dependents without the passport owner.
** Leaving and entering the Kingdom must be through the identified ports and ensure that the passport is stamped at both exit and re-entry.
** Abide by the local laws and systems of the countries travelled. The traveler is the country’s ambassador and a good image should be projected of the Kingdom and Islamic society.
** Severe penalties for those who lose, neglect or give away their passports.
** Saudi widow and her children will be given a passport and visas; she should provide proof of her children’s guardianship
** Saudi Citizen’s wife, who has become a widow or divorced and acquired her citizenship recently (not Saudi originally), and applied for a Saudi passport, must refer to the Civil Affairs Department if to issue a document proofing her Saudi citizenship.** ** Women and children who do not have travelling license are not allowed to leave the Kingdom.
