MOSD Care For Disabled Children Service

Disabled Children Services cares for Omani and expatriate children with disabilities.Process takes one week from the date of application and applicant is notified by phone.

Social Services and Rehabilitation Services are directed towards those with paralysis and physical disabilities.

Care and rehabilitation programs include

** Medical and health care.
** Using physiotherapy to enhance physical dexterity.
** Social and psychological programs / services for the child and his/her family.
** On-the-job training to improve basic and functional skills.
** Enhance speech and pronunciation skills emphasized.
** Special education and skill development programs.
** Help children maximize their abilities to be independent in relation to daily life skills.

Who can request this service :
Omani and expatriate children with disabilities between 3 and 14 years old who require Social Services and/or Rehabilitation Services.

Steps to follow to request the service

A. Process Steps :
** The child’s legal guardian submits an application with the following attached :
** Medical check conducted .
** Social study conducted .

What documents are needed to process :
** Copy of Birth Certificate or age estimation.
** Copy of guardian’s passport or ID card.
** Salary Letter of the guardian.
** Application is submitted to the technical committee for verification.

Special conditions if any applicable :
** Omani national or a resident of the Sultanate of Oman.
** Between the ages of 3 and 14 years.
** A medical report confirming a physical disability.
** A social study confirming the social and economic inability of the family to support the child.
** Have no communicable or psychological diseases.

How long will it take :
Process takes one week from the date of application. Applicant is notified by phone.
