MOH Licence to Practice Nursing & Midwifery

Procedures for obtaining a licence to practice the profession of nursing and midwifery sector workers of all nursing and midwifery and health institutions willing to work both in the Ministry of Health or in private institutions.

Who can request this service:
Omani nurses and non-Omanis from inside or outside the Sultanate and Health institutions in the private sector

Steps to follow

a. Process steps :
** Submit applications to the Ministry of Health to the Director of the Office of Public Hospitals in the ministry.
** Submit applications to serve the private sector to the Director of Public Service Bdarsit private health institutions.
** A copy of the biography.
** Submit copies of diplomas and certificates of experience.
** Audit certification and inspection of the health institution to determine if the applicant’s services are necessary to serve in the private sector.
** Grant the applicant a visa to visit the Sultanate for a performance test.
** Complete a Mobilize Application Form to enter the licence tests Entry fee licensing test.
** Pass written and oral tests conducted by the Committee on the Office of the ministry for a candidate is chosen from those who passed the certification process.
** Licence is granted and labour card issued

** Copy of the biography
** Application form to enter the licensing tests
** Copies of diplomas and certificates of experience
** Certificate of licence to practice In the professionals country of origin
** Copy passport
** 2 Photographs
** Copy of labour card – for applicants who wish to work in the private sector
** Letter from sponsor giving permission for the applicant to serve in the private sector
** Extraction Form to visit the Sultanate

Special Conditions

** Has at least 3 employment experience
** Individual must not have more than 6 months of work inactivity
** Be physically fit to perform required duties

2 to 4 weeks

Fee to be paid:
The entry test licence RO 20
Licensing applicants for the nursing profession to serve the private sector. RO 30
Allowance or loss consisted of a license. RO 50
