Pension funds may be paid out in full or in part in the case of permanent/ partial disabilities, death and retirement.

Steps to follow to request the service:
A- Process steps:
Injuries must be reported and recorded to Royal Oman Police and PASI either by the employer, employee or the employee relatives by submission of Injury/ Death Reporting Form at PASI regional or main office or fill the Intimation Form using PASI Website
Action will be taken through PASI Pension Department and PASI Internal Investigation Team. They will contact or visit the injured employee and complete Request to Evaluate Working Injury Form which must be signed by the insured employee.
Daily allowance will be calculated and paid to the injured employee for discontinuation of work.
PASI Pension Department collects the official hospital report and submits to the Medical Committee (formed by Ministry of Heath) in case of disability. The Medical Committee should declare and identify the injury and disability level and submits report to PASI Pension Department.
PASI Pension Department calculates the entitlements.
PASI contacts insured employee and can collect cheque (for single, lump sum payments only) from any PASI office or monthly payments will be made directly to their bank account.

Insured employee can appeal the payment decision of PASI by:
Submitting a letter to PASI Pension Department or PASI Director General
Appeal letter sent to the Appealing Medical Committee.
Appealing Medical Committee reviews the report and reevaluates the case and gives the final decision.
Final decision will be sent to Pension Department to complete payment processes.

Is it permissible to register the employer or the partner?
It is not permissible to register the employer or the partners of all kind of companies except joint-stock companies. However, there are other insurance rules for Omanis working on their own account and the self-employed and the likes.

When should the registration of the Omani employee working for the private sector in the Sultanate be done ?
PASI should be notified of the registration of the employee or his service-end within a maximum period of 15 days from the date of joining or the date of end of service. An additional amount of OMR 5 will be charged per month against any delay beyond this period of time.

What are the registration procedures for both the employer and the employee?
The registration is done in accordance with the registration rules for the Omani employees working in the private sector inside the Sultanate.

How can I obtain registration forms for the employer ?
Registration forms can be obtained from PASI’s website or SANAD’s offices.

A permanent insurance card number is issued to every insured at PASI. It is a card that includes the insured’s relevant data..

The employer or the representative who is authorized to receive the cards should apply for issuance of such cards to all insured employees on the job. In case the insured has stopped working, he/she can visit PASI to obtain the card.
