Scholarships and Awards For Freshmen :

FRESHMEN with outstanding ‘O’ Level results and are high achievers in their co-curricular activities (CCAs) are eligible for these prestigious awards;

Scholarships cover annual tuition fees payable by Singapore Citizen students and a one-time notebook allowance.

4) Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) Merit Award
5) Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) Engineering Merit Award
6) Design & Environment (DE) Study Award

All scholarships, except for the NP Merit Award, NP Engineering Merit Award and DE Study Award, are tenable for three years. Recipients of most donor scholarships will also get a living allowance.

NPS and NPES recipients will have a chance to enrol in The Christieara Programme (TCP). This specially tailored three-year programme is aimed not only at developing students’ leadership qualities and expanding their intellectual horizons but also enhancing their career preparation and academic progression beyond NP.

As an added bonus, recipients will have opportunity to apply for the coveted Overseas Merit Fellowship to the US, Europe or Australia or the Asia Merit Award in the end of the second year.

Interested students need to submit only one application to be considered for all the above-mentioned scholarships and awards. You may also apply for bursary concurrently if you are eligible. Scholarship recipients (for awards that cover tuition fee only) are now allowed to hold a government funded bursary concurrently.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic Engineering Scholarship :
Introduced in Academic Year 2011, this premier scholarship offers recognition to freshmen in our engineering courses with excellent ‘O’ Level results and stellar CCA achievements, strong leadership potential and a passion for engineering.

Apart from The Christieara Programme (TCP) — a tailored three-year programme to develop students’ leadership qualities and expand their intellectual horizons, Ngee Ann Polytechnic Engineering Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to pursue a customised Engineering Programme in partnership with universities for the development of expert engineering knowledge and skills.

Recipients will also have the opportunity to apply for the coveted Overseas Merit Fellowship/Asia Merit Award at end of second year.

Eligibility :
** Freshmen in engineering courses
** Singapore Citizen and Singapore Permanent Resident student only
** Excellent ‘O’ Level results
** Excellent CCA achievements
** Strong leadership qualities and potential
** Passion for engineering

Scholarship Awards and Conditions :

** Approximately $9,300 for freshmen recipients covering;
i) Annual tuition fees payable by Singapore Citizen students
ii) Annual book allowance of $400
iii) One-time notebook allowance of $1,200
** Option to enrol in The Christieara Programme (TCP)
** Option to enrol in a customised Engineering Programme
** Opportunity to apply for the coveted Overseas Merit Fellowship/Asia Merit Award in second year
** Tenable over course of study subject to fulfilment of renewal criteria
** Bond free
