Vaccination programme in Northern Ireland :
The COVID-19 vaccination programme is currently being delivered at Trust vaccination sites, GP practices and some community pharmacies. It is based on the recommendations of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), an independent expert group.
Get Vaccinated
** Following the latest advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) it is preferable if people aged under 40 receive an alternative to the AstraZeneca vaccine.
** In NI this will be accommodated through administering the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines at the regional Trust vaccination centres.
** To be eligible to be vaccinated as part of the Northern Ireland vaccination programme you generally have to be registered with a GP in Northern Ireland and aged 18 years and over at 31 July 2021.
** If you’re not registered with a GP in NI but live here or are temporarily a resident in NI, you should email the Department of Health at COVID-19VaccinationProgramme [AT] health-ni.gov.uk and they will advise you how you can be vaccinated.

Vaccine safety :
The vaccines have met strict standards of safety, quality and effectiveness set out by the independent Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)
Vaccination at a Community Pharmacy
** Pharmacies can only supply the AstraZeneca vaccine at this time.
** To be vaccinated at a community pharmacy, you generally have to be registered with a GP in Northern Ireland and aged 40 years and over at 31 July 2021.
** If you’re pregnant or believe you could be pregnant and have not yet received your first vaccination, you cannot currently be vaccinated at a community pharmacy. Speak to your obstetric provider or midwife for advice about getting the COVID-19 vaccination at a Trust vaccination centre.
