Request a birth certificate for someone who was born in Israel

You can request a birth certificate online for someone who was born in Israel for free. You’ll be sent the certificate by post within one week. You can ask for a bilingual certificate in Hebrew and English.
Who Can Request?
1. You can request a birth certificate for
** yourself
** your spouse
** your children
** your parents
2. If you are an ‘interested party’, you can request a birth certificate on behalf of someone who is not a family member. You’ll need to apply in person at an authority office.
What You Need?
You’ll need :
** the ID number of the person whose birth certificate you’re requesting
** the details of the person whose birth certificate you’re requesting, as recorded at the time of birth
If you’re an ‘interested party’ requesting a birth certificate on behalf of someone who is not a family member, you’ll also need
** a letter of explanation
** or power-of-attorney
If you’re requesting a birth certificate of someone born before 1955, you need to include their parents’ place of residence and place of birth at the time of birth
How to Apply?
Steps :
Step 1 : Fill in and submit the birth certificate application form online. The certificate will be issued within a week and will be posted to your address that is registered in the population registry.
Step 2 : If you’re requesting a birth certificate of someone born before 1950, you need to print the completed form and email it to ginzach06 [AT] piba.gov.il, or fax it to 02-6529195.
Step 3 : The birth certificate will be issued within 5 working days and posted to your registered address.
Notes :
** You can request a bilingual birth certificate in Hebrew and English.
** This service and forms are provided in Hebrew and English, but you can only enter data in Hebrew.
How to Submit?
You can apply for the birth certificate online, or print the application form and submit
** at self-service stands located in the Population and Immigration Authority offices, and at general self-service stands located across the country.
** in person at your local Population and Immigration Authority offices or place the request in the service box at the authority offices, during office hours. If your local authority office has a service box outside, you can do so at any time.
** by fax to 02-6469442.
** by post to: National Service Center, 42 Agripas Street, Jerusalem, Israel.
