Marriage Grant Request :

Through this service, UAE Nationals can apply for a financial marriage grant value of AED 70,000 after ensuring their fulfilment of the requirements.

Process Description:
Please click below for the e-Service or follow the steps below:
** Submit the grant application form and the required documents to the Marriage Fund.
** Take the transaction receipt.
** Receive the grant after approval.

Required Documents:
For the husband:
** Grant application form Original
** Passport including the file number Copy
** Emirates ID Copy
** Family book Copy
** Should include the wife’s name
** Family book of the husband’s father Copy
** Showing the date of the removal of the applicant from the family book
** Marriage contract Certified copy by the concerned court
** Detailed salary certificate Original
** Should include all allowances; including the housing allowance for the married category, and stating the retirement deduction
** Employment contract (In case of working for a small private company) Original
** Attested by the Abu Dhabi Retirement Pensions & Benefits Fund
** Six months bank statement for the bank account where the salary is transferred Original
** Showing the account statement for the last six months upon the submission of the application
** Letter from the bank stating the account number where the grant money will be transferred Original
** Showing the beneficiary’s bank account number with IBAN account number to transfer the grant
** Land ownership certificate and trade licence ownership certificate Original
** Issued by the same location of issuing the applicant’s passport
** Certificate of the husband’s and wife’s participation in the seminars and educational workshops provided by the Marriage Fund Original
** Medical report for both spouses Original
** A certificate from the bank showing that the shares are assets that do not have monthly and annual profits and are not under speculation (in case the applicant owns shares) Original
** Issued by the same location of issuing the applicant’s passport
** A statement confirming that the provided information is correct Original
** Declaration of marriage consummation in the presence of the wife or her legal guardian or brother Original or certified copy by the concerned court issued after the marriage ceremony

For the wife:
** Passport including the file number Copy
** Emirates ID Copy
** Family book where wife was registered at the time of concluding the marriage contract (father’s family book or the wife’s independent family book) Copy

Special Conditions :

** The applicant should be a UAE national of an age not less than 21 years old, and the bride’s age is not less than 18 years old at the time the marriage contract is concluded.
** The wife should be a UAE national.
** The applicant should be of a of low-income, employed or having an income not exceeding AED 19,000 after the retirement quota is deducted. This condition does not apply to those supporting their family due to the death or illness of the father, provided that they submit a proof of being the only provider for the family.
** The application should be submitted no later than six months from the marriage contract conclusion date.
** The applicant should not have previously received a marriage grant or benefited from any other marriage grant for participating in any mass weddings.

The applicant should have never been married before, except for the following cases:
** Death of the first wife.
** Inability of the first wife to have children.
** Divorce of the first wife before marriage consummation, and if the applicant had received a grant for his first marriage, he must return it to the Marriage Fund.

All required documents should be submitted within two weeks of receiving the fund’s notification to allow enough time to complete the evaluation of the application, and in case the applicant does not abide, his right to the grant will be dropped.

Commitment to attend the seminars and awareness workshops conducted by the Fund.

Provide proof of the marriage consummation and a proof of marriage continuity from the court within one year of receiving the first payment of the grant, and in case the applicant fails to submit these documents, he will lose the right to receive the second payment of the grant.
