What is Booster Vaccination Against Covid-19?
Everyone aged 18 and over will be offered a third vaccine dose. The Danish Health Authority recommends that you get the booster jab as soon as you receive the invitation to do so. The vaccines against covid-19 are effective. But while they provide a high level of protection against becoming infected, severely ill or hospitalised with covid-19, it is also evident that the efficacy of the vaccines decreases over time.

How To Get Covid-19 Booster Vaccine Dose?
You will receive an invitation to the Covid-19 3rd (Booster) jab either through your e-Boks or by letter. The Danish Health Authority recommends that you accept the offer of a 3rd dose as soon as possible after the 140 days. Please note that you do not have to wait to receive the invitation in your e-Boks but can get vaccinated as soon as 140 days have passed.
The dates of your previous vaccinations have been logged, and your invitation will be sent automatically. Therefore, you do not need to contact your doctor, employer, or others to be referred for your 3rd vaccine dose.
Once the interval of 140 days after the 2nd vaccine dose is reached, you can go ahead and book an appointment for vaccination. You do not have to wait for an invitation. Book a time slot by logging on to vacciner.dk with your NemID. You can also get the booster vaccination at privately run vaccination centres, pharmacies and participating general practitioners.
