Changing Expiry of Validity National Identity Card :
Upon expiration of the validity of the national identity card, a new electronic card is submitted to applicants in return of their held national identity card and of a residence certificate issued by the competent territorial jurisdiction of the national security or the Royal Mounted Police or by the local administrative authorities.

Applicant:
Moroccan nationals abroad
Required documents:
** national identity card held by the applicant;
** Consular registration certificate, providing the address of the applicant;
** Two recent passport photographs of the front, color, on a light background, size 3.5 cm time 4.5 cm, uncovered face, and without dark glasses;
** Copy of the page of family civil status book corresponding to the applicant providing such book or a full copy of the civil status register or an extract of birth certificate.
These documents should be three months valid (first and last name of applicants and their parents’ names should be drawn up in Arabic and Latin characters on the birth certificate).
Fees: 75 Dhs

Changing national identity card by the electronic national identity card with the application for registration of the optional statement ” widow” :
The national identity card is an official document that allows all citizens to prove their identity and, if it is valid, their Moroccan nationality. It is compulsory for all citizens over 18 years old. It can also be obtained at the age of 16 years old.
However, it is interesting to note, in this case, that an application for registration of an optional entry is possible for applicants with no identity card or for those wishing to change such a card.For this purpose, please refer to the procedure below.

** Certified copy of marriage contract;
** Extract of death certificate of spouse
** Copy of the page of family civil status book corresponding to the applicant providing such book or a full copy of the civil status register or an extract of birth certificate.
