Apply For Investor’s Permit :
This is a Permit which may be issued to any foreigner intending to establish a business or invest in, or who has established or invested in a business in Zambia.

Note:
The Permit allows the holder and his/her spouse and minor children to enter and re-enter into and to remain within Zambia until it expires
Applying for Investor’s Permit :
Required Documents:
** Application form (Form 27)
** Two recent passport size photographs;
** Certified Photocopies of current passport
** Certified photocopies of certificate of incorporation , list of Directors and list of share capital.
** Proof of personal investment, if an investor is forming his own company, he or she should bring in at least US$250,000. If he/she is joining an existing company, it should be at least US$150,000.
** Investment License if available
** Covering letter to the Director General of Immigration
** Applicant should be above 21 years old
** Proof of ownership of land or lease agreement.
** Payment of a prescribed fee
Investor’s Permit Fees For The Private Sector:
Issuance K2,000.00
Renewal K2,500.00
Duplicate K2,000.00
Variation :
K2,500.00 inclusive of another company/nature of business
K1,000.00 Addition of names of spouse or children

Guiding Principles In The Issuance Of Permits And Visas :
The Department’s ‘Immigration Policy’ is based on the following four (4) principles :
** An Immigrant to Zambia must have a contribution to make in form of skills, profession or capital.
** An Immigrant should not deprive a Zambian of employment;
** An Immigrant should not be a charge on the state.
** An Immigrant intending to settle in Zambia must be in possession of a permit
Asylum Seeker’s Permit :
This Permit is issued to a person seeking asylum in Zambia and is valid for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of issue
Transit Permits :
This Permit is issued to foreigners who being in transit exhaust the ninety (90) days Transit period.
