This permit is issued for a period not exceeding six(6) months, to a foreigner who is a member of a regional grouping to which Zambia is party or one who ordinarily resides in a Country sharing boundaries with Zambia

Required Documents:
** Application Form (Form 29)
** Two recent passport size photos
** Certified photocopies of passport
** Bank guarantee or return air ticket or proof of sufficient funds to sustain oneself
** Cross Border traders membership card issued by a competent authority.
** A Letter from Cross Borders traders Association
** Payment of a prescribed fee.

Notes To Applicant :
A cross border permit
(a) may be issued to a foreigner who is a member of a Regional Grouping to which Zambia is a party;
(b) shall be valid for a period of ninety days initially and may be renewed for further periods within a period of six months calculated from the day the person first enters Zambia;

(c) shall contain the conditions specified by an immigration officer to be met by the holder and shall cease to be valid if the holder contravenes any of the conditions specified on the permit;

(d) shall not entitle the holder to seek or obtain paid employment in Zambia;
(e) entitles the holder to enter and re-enter into, and to remain within, Zambia until the permit expires; and
(f) shall specify the place of trading.

** An Immigrant intending to settle in Zambia must be in possession of a permit
