What is Medical Visa?
A Medical Visa in Sri Lanka is a special visa issued to foreign nationals who require medical treatment in the country. It allows them to stay in Sri Lanka for the duration of their treatment, up to a maximum of 180 days.

How To Apply For Medical Visa in Sri Lanka?
You can submit visa application to the Department of Immigration & Emigration, Colombo through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
You can obtain a Residence visa application form:
** Head office of the Department of Immigration & Emigration, Colombo.
** Download printable versions of the Application Forms from the website of Sri Lanka Department of Immigration & Emigration.
Documents Required For Medical Visa
** Recommendation letter of the doctor or medical officer (Including Ayurvedic or homeopathy)
** Medical report
** Bank Encashment receipts to the value of US$ 1500/- for a year per person to support your medical expenses
** A copy of the Bio Data Page of applicant’s passport
** Passport/s
** Health Protection plan (Can get through the www.health.gov.lk/IHU)
