What is Miscellaneous Vehicles?

Miscellaneous vehicles include vehicles with any hydraulic operating parts or hydraulic lifts. An “M” plate will be issued to all miscellaneous vehicles. Before any miscellaneous vehicles can be driven on the public road, the owner of the vehicle must obtain an approval letter called “Permit to operate Special Vehicles on Public Roads” from the Ministry of Works & Urban Development. This letter must accompany the other supporting vehicle documents when registering the vehicle with the Department of Road Traffic.
