How To Check ZOU Examination Result?

Go to the official website of Zimbabwe Open University ZOU. Click myVista tab to access registration and Examination results portal.

Step 1 : Enter your PIN
Use your student pin as ‘PIN Number’
Step 2 : Enter your password on the password field and if it is your first time to login use your surname in Caps as ‘password’
Step 3 : Click Login Button

Go to ‘My profile’ under ‘navigation’. Under ‘My profile’ click on ‘My Registration’ and access the registration page.

Select the intended course code to be registered from both Courses From Your Degree or All Courses. Then Click on the Add Button, the course code will automatically be sent to the Selected Courses For Registration

Repeat steps 9 and 10 until the required number of courses has been selected. When satisfied with course selection click on the Register Button.

Lost Password :
Click Lost Password link available under login section.

To reset your password, submit your PIN or your email address. If we can find you in the database, an email will be sent to your email address, with instructions how to get access again.

Examination Results:

In order to access results online, follow the same procedure described above to login to MyVista. Then click on ‘My profile’ under ‘Navigation’ block. After that click on results to view your current results

Only paid up students will be able to access their results electronically.

If you experience problems please email your Name, Mobile Number and PIN number to: myvista AT zou.ac.zw.

Staggered Fees Registration Process

** Student deposits at least 50% of total cost of courses to be registered. The total to include fixed costs (SRC, bus levy, building levy and caution fee.)

** Student deposits $25 Administration Fee
** Student obtains Staggered Fees Application Form at any Regional Campus.
** Completed Application Form is submitted to the student respective Regional Campus Director’s office for approval with proof of payment of 1 and 2 above.

** Regional Director approves or rejects application. If rejected student may register for subjects equivalent to amount deposited.
** Once application is approved by the Regional Director, student completes debt acknowledgement form.

** Both original completed application and acknowledgement of debt forms to be kept at Regional Director’s office and copies submitted to regional accounts office. Accounts officer may then unlock student account so that the student is able to register on Myvista platform.

Functions of Zimbabwe Open University

The Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) is a public university in Zimbabwe that was established in 1993. It is the only open and distance learning university in Zimbabwe.

Here are some of the functions of ZOU:
** Offer open and distance learning courses. ZOU offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses through open and distance learning. This means that students can study at their own pace and in their own time, without having to attend classes on campus.

** Administer examinations. ZOU administers examinations for all of its courses. This ensures that all students are assessed fairly and that their qualifications are recognized.
** Issue certificates and diplomas. ZOU issues certificates and diplomas to students who successfully complete their courses. These qualifications are recognized by employers and other educational institutions in Zimbabwe and around the world.
** Promote lifelong learning. ZOU is committed to promoting lifelong learning. It offers a variety of courses that are designed to meet the needs of students of all ages and backgrounds.
