A Word from the Director :
At the Directorate General of Highways (DGH) we manage the three primary elements of highway transportation: people, vehicles and roadways. Construction and maintenance units are responsible for the roads and bridges that compose Taiwan’s transportation network while motor vehicles administration ensures traffic safety.
Together, these units work toward a common goal of providing safe, convenient, comfortable and efficient highway services. Under the leadership of each division and section chief as well as the devotion of staff members, performance from every construction, maintenance and motor vehicles unit is admirable.
We expect this tradition of excellence to continue. Besides listening to the voice of the people, in the future we will use a people-first attitude to work toward the public interest. Staff will raise morale by strictly adhering to the principles of integrity and honesty. And we shall expand collaboration so we can build a healthier and more efficient service environment.
By relying on progressiveness and innovation, we will build a comprehensive highway transportation network that Taiwan road users are proud to call their own.
