Register to play:
** You’ll need to register and create your account and login.
** Please Read through all of the Terms & Conditions prior to registering.
** Note that ONE registration is permitted and required to play.
Logging in:
** Enter your registered login email address and password in the login area near the top left of the screen.
** Link your account with either or both Facebook and Twitter, for single click login using your Facebook/Twitter account login – you’ll also get the benefit of instant sharing, playing against your Facebook contacts and everyone who you follow on Twitter, automatically – plus much more!
Login problems?:
** Ensure that “cookies” are enabled for your web browser.
** If you’ve forgotten your password, click here to request a password reset. We’ll send you an email to your registered email address with instructions on how to reset your password.
** If you still experience problems logging in, you can always contact us for further assistance.
Updating and managing your registration:
** You can manage your registration by logging in and clicking on the ‘SETTINGS’ button near the top left of the screen.
** Within the Settings/Your Profile section, you may change your login email address and password, update your personal details and social connections, change tips and league names (only in certain instances), as well as opting out of email updates or cancelling your registration altogether.
Entering your tips:
** cricket.com.au World Cup Tipping is split over 7 distinct rounds of tipping (final 2 rounds will feature the Cricket World Cup finals).
** You may, however, enter or edit your tips right up until the actual start time for each match, and for every round (except finals) well in advance.
** You can also choose to submit the most popular tips – these are the most selected tips at the time you’ve submitted them. Or you can play the luck of the draw and choose to submit your tips at random.
How you’ll score:
** You’ll receive 1 point for every correct tip. If you tip a tied match correctly, you’ll receive 5 points for that tip.
** Be sure to enter your prediction for the total number of runs that the winning team will score for the featured match of each round (this is usually the LAST match of the assigned round). You must enter this prediction in order to submit and save your tips.
** The winning runs prediction is used as a tiebreaker if there’s more than one tipper with the same score. If, for example, you predict that the winning team scores 245 runs, and they score 260, you’ll receive a Margin score of 15 (the difference between your prediction and the actual result). Your margin is accumulated throughout the tournament – where tipping scores are tied – the with the lowest margin score is ranked highest.
Forgot to put in your tips?:
** If you forget to enter tips for any match before the cut-off time, you’ll not receive any tipping points from that match.
** If you don’t enter your winning total runs prediction, your tips will not be saved and you’ll receive 0 points for the round.
** Results are made available shortly after the completion of each match, with full results and rankings being confirmed and finalised within a few hours of the completion of each round.
Mini Leagues competitions:
** You can create or join, and be a part of up to FIVE private or public mini-leagues with your single tips entry. Your tips entry will be entered in at least one private or public mini-league.
** You can compete direct against friends and relatives, or a small group of other participants in the competition.
** Through the unique ‘Tipper’s Chat Box’ feature, you’ll be able to communicate with your league of competitors live.
** You can create or join and be a part of up to FIVE private or public mini-leagues with your single tipping entry.
** You can create and monitor your own league with friends, join a second league that you’ve been invited to by work colleagues, and play against family members independently.
Unlimited size leagues:
** There are no limits as to how many entries can be a part of a tipping league.
** ALL private and public leagues that don’t have at least 3 entries at the conclusion and publishing of the next upcoming round’s results, will be merged or have entries added to form leagues of 16.
** Any existing entries within each league will remain in that league. All leagues must be formed prior to the beginning of the next upcoming round to avoid being merged or have other entries added.
** You can leave/change between leagues at any time.
Public Leagues:
** Creating a public league will allow you to invite anyone you like to your league.
** Anyone who joins your league or obtains your unique league code will also have the ability to join and invite others to this league.
** If you selected to join a public league, your entry will be placed in one automatically, at the completion of the next upcoming round, with publishing of results.
Private Leagues:
** If you create a private league, you’ll be the only one who can invite others to this league (via the League page).
** As ‘Administrator’, you’ll also have the ability to REMOVE tippers from your league.
** Anyone joining a Private league is not able to invite others via the league page.
** When using the automated league invite form on your league page to send invitations, your friends/relatives will be provided with a direct link to the registration page, and will be added to your league automatically upon successful registration. You can leave/change between leagues at any time, by using the facilities available on your league page.
Setup your Facebook and Twitter leagues!
** If you have a Facebook and/or Twitter account, you can now link it to your cricket.com.au World Cup Tipping entry.
** In addition to all the benefits (unified login with your Facebook/Twitter credentials, sharing of data to your wall/followers, etc), you’ll be able to setup your very own Facebook and/or Twitter leagues, which are in addition to your maximum 5 regular leagues!
** On linking your account, cricket.com.au World Cup Tipping will automatically setup your Facebook and/or Twitter league.
** You’ll be ranked based on overall points against any of your Facebook/Twitter contacts who also play cricket.com.au World Cup Tipping and have linked their accounts.
** In addition, you can automatically invite any of those not playing with a simple wall post or tweet directly from cricket.com.au World Cup Tipping – or invite them to one of your regular leagues.
