Kenyan Passport Application & Renewal :

New Passports:
This is to inform all Kenyans in the Diaspora that with effect immediately, the Kenya Embassy in Kuwait is no longer issuing A series (32 pages) and B series (48 pages) passports.

Anyone wishing to obtain a new passport will therefore be required to obtain a C series (64 pages) passport at a cost of Kuwaiti Dinars 35 (Thirty Five only).

Renewals:
The Mission wishes also to inform all Kenyans in the Diaspora that with effect immediately, the Kenya Embassy in Kuwait has stopped renewing the five (5) year passports.

Anyone with a five (5) year passport that is about to expire will therefore be required to make arrangements to get a new ten (10) year passport.

General Information:
Kenyan citizens wishing to apply for or renew their Kenyan passports, travel documents or Emergency Certificates can do so at their nearest Kenya Embassy, High Commission or Consulate.

Kenyan passports are available for five years in the first instance and may be renewed for a further period of five years from the date of expiry. They are not available beyond ten years from the original date of issue. If at anytime a passport contains no further space for visas, a new passport must be obtained.

A Word of Caution:
Passports are valuable documents and should not be altered in any way or allowed to pass into possession of unauthorized person. If lost, withdrawn or destroyed the fact and circumstances should be immediately reported to the Kenya Embassy and the local police. New passports can only be issued in such circumstances after exhaustive enquiries.

When applying for a new passport, we advise that you should apply for it well in advance, at least 6 MONTHS BEFORE EXPIRY OF THE PASSPORT OR YOUR TRAVEL DATE. It takes 8 weeks or more to process the Passport in Kenya.

Incomplete Applications will not be accepted or forwarded to Nairobi

New Kenyan Passport / Replacement After 10 Years:
The following is required for an application for a new passport, or replacement of a passport after ten (10) years:-
a) Full names and previous names used in the Kenyan passport/travel document;
b) Two photocopies of pages 29, 30, 31, 32 and the bio data page of your present passport,;
c) Pages with endorsements of your profession, your child’s change of name, or deletions, etc;
d) Two copies of the Application Form PP.1 duly filled, with e-mail, phone and fax contacts, etc.
e) Three passport size photographs (showing both ears and facing the camera)
f) Two copies of your birth certificate. The back page of the certificate is required if it has official endorsements.
g) Two copies of your marriage certificate, or divorce decrees (translated into English);
h) Two copies of a Deed Poll (if your change of name was not thru marriage)
