ISC Scientific Journal Submission System

Submission Rules:
Why does ISC need the “word” & “pdf ” files of journals?:
The word file containing the table of content and bibliographic information such as title, authors, abstract, keywords and references for each article are used in the automatic indexing system of ISC.

The pdf file is used in the full-text databases such as E-Journals, E-Articles, and etc. for the secure protection of the full-text file of the journal and also to prevent scrambled text of the journals and etc.

Notifications:
1. Considering the reasons stated for the proper use of the files of the journals in ISC, it is necessary that respectable users send both ‘Word’ and ‘Pdf’ files of the articles. Otherwise, the sent files could not be used.
2. As seen in the send “file page” (ISC submission system), the system has the potentiality of sending a ‘Word’ file and a ‘Pdf’ file simultaneously. So, respectable users must in each time of sending, send together a ‘Word’ and a ‘pdf’ file of the intended article (except the first file which contains the table of contents in ‘Word’).
3. In order to deliver each issue of the journal, users need to send “the table of contents” as well. This will be useful at retrieval to check the reception of whole articles of each issue and to ensure the archive is completed.
4. Respectable users must send the ‘Word’ file containing the so-called bibliographical information only through the explained format (the format of the word file is shown in the following) and they must send the ‘pdf’ file made from the full-text file. It must be mentioned that the scanned ‘pdf’ files from the printed journal which is a picture, could not be used.

Important :
Therefore, the required files for sending each issue of journals are as follows respectively:
A. A ‘Word’ file containing the table of contents
B. The ‘Word’ files of the articles with the explained format each of which contains just bibliographical information including title, authors, abstract, keywords and references.
C. The full-text ‘Pdf’ files of the articles (made from the text). It should be mentioned that files of the articles must be sent separately (article by article) and every article be sent as a part during each submission. So, the files of all articles of each issue prepared in one single file could not be used in ISC.

5. The respectable users must in order specify one part for each submitted file as part. This will help at retrieval to sort the articles of each issue for use. For instance, if we want to send the journal Vol. 2, No. 1, 2008 with 10 articles, the ‘Word’ file of the table of contents is sent as the part 1, ‘PDF’ and ‘Word’ file of the first article as the part 2, ‘PDF’ and ‘Word’ file of the second article as the part 3, and so on.

And so to the end.

D. The file size should not be bigger than 3.9 MB.

E. For journals with pictures and big file size, the size of the pictures should be reduced so that the files of the journal could be easily sent.

The way of reducing size of the pictures: The Resolution of pictures of journals must be reduced.
