e-GGRT Data Reporting System

he electronic Greenhouse Gas Reporting Tool (e-GGRT) is now open for 2013 reporting under EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP). The deadline for submitting your facility’s 2013 annual GHG report was March 31, 2014.

If you have not logged into e-GGRT recently, please note that your e-GGRT password expires every ninety days.

This page provides information on the Electronic Greenhouse Gas Reporting Tool (e-GGRT), a web-based system EPA developed to support reporting under the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP).

User and Facility/Supplier Registration for the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP):
Facilities and suppliers subject to the GHGRP must register online through the e-GGRT system. The diagram below presents an overview of the registration process. Click on each box or option to view a more detailed description of the registration step. Please refer to the e-GGRT Registration Help page for additional, detailed information on Facility/Supplier Registration.

Further guidance on registration is available for Subpart W reporters in regards to entering the facility address into e-GGRT (PDF) (1 pg, 25K) and additional guidance, specifically for onshore petroleum and natural gas producers (PDF) (1 pg, 16K). Additional information and news on e-GGRT can be found at www.ccdsupport.com. Exit EPA disclaimer

Interactions with Other Reporting Programs:
Some facilities and suppliers subject to the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP) might also report to other voluntary or mandatory emissions monitoring programs.

CAMD Business System (CBS) and ECMPS (part 75):
CBS (part 75) reporters will need to register their facilities and report GHGRP emissions using the Electronic Greenhouse Gas Reporting Tool (e-GGRT). EPA will allow current CBS users to import their part 75 facility profile information into e-GGRT. Note that the Designated Representative at a part 75 facility must be the same person for the GHGRP.

If your facility is an ozone season reporter, you may elect to use the alternative methodology in 98.33(a)(5) to calculate and report CO2 emissions year round for GHGRP purposes. You must submit data using ECMPS beginning in the first quarter of 2010 and throughout the entire year.

State Reporting Programs:
As part of EPA’s longstanding commitment to the Environmental Information Exchange Network, EPA participated in a State-EPA Greenhouse Gas Integrated Project Team (IPT). Through the IPT, EPA coordinated with states on the development of reporting and exchange schemas for the GHGRP.

As states implement state-level GHG reporting rules, EPA has agreed to include, where possible, state data elements in the e-GGRT reporting schema. EPA is also exploring the possibility of allowing facilities subject to both federal and state GHG reporting requirements to upload their data annually, via a single Extensible Markup Language (XML) reporting schema, to EPA to satisfy both federal and state reporting requirements. EPA would then pass state-level GHG data reported by a facility or supplier directly to applicable states.

Additional information and news on e-GGRT can be found at www.ccdsupport.com

Extensible Markup Language (XML) Reporting Schema:
EPA has developed an XML reporting schema that will allow facilities to upload their greenhouse gas (GHG) data directly in lieu of using the web forms provided through the Electronic Greenhouse Gas Reporting Tool (e-GGRT).

XML is a set of specifications designed to create common electronic data formats in order to facilitate data sharing and comparison. The XML reporting schema contains all of the data elements needed to comply with the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP).
