Passport Reissuance Initiative :
1. What is the St. Kitts Nevis Re-Issuance Initiative?:
A policy initiative of the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis’ to affirms its commitment to strengthen the security of all travel documents issued by the Federal Government.

All St. Kitts Nevis E passports issued during the period January 2012 through July 2014 are being re-issued to persons whose passport does record the place of birth on the data page and/or notation on the observation page of any change of names of holders.
2. Who will be affected by this Initiative?:
A person in possession of a passport without the place of birth and observation of name changes.
3. Is there a cost for the re-issuance of a new passport?:
There is no cost to the applicant; the Government of St. Kitts & Nevis will incur all costs (that is the costs associated with purchase of postage stamps and couriering packages to the Missions/ Embassies/Consulates)
4. Is there a deadline for the Initiative?
The initiative commenced on December 10, 2014
and will culminate on January 31st, 2015.
5. What will happen if one fails to meet the deadline?:
Applicants will be required to offset all costs associated with the re-issuance. The passports not returned will be deactivated and cancelled.
6. What is the processing time?:
Five (5) to Ten (10) days, assuming there are no technical and/or other unforeseen difficulties.
7. How does the process works?:
Applicants are being asked to:
a) Complete the “Re-issue of E passport” Form;
b) Submit forms along with the E passport being replaced along with any documentation of name changes.
c) List all previous known names, whether by marriage, divorce or any other means, if name(s) have been changed.
d) Documentation shall be submitted along with the form. New passports will not be issued in the absence of presentation of supporting documentation.
8. Does one need a new photo?:
a) There isn’t a need for new photos, unless there are exceptional circumstances, where persons who would have undergone cosmetic surgery to the extent that their features would have changed markedly, or in the case of children who would have received their passports early in infancy.
a. In cases where applicants are not in possession of a valid Government issued ID, persons with Certificates of Registration – COR (Citizenship Certificates) are asked to provide a certified copy of the COR.

What if one has a visa or residence stamp in the passport being returned?:
Only those cancelled passports containing valid visas and/or resident stamps to permit entry into third countries will be returned along with the new passports.
