What can you do?
As soon as your identity has been verified, you can:
** View and amend your contact details: e-mail address, telephone number, preferred language

** Request a means of authentication (e.g. federal token)
** Change your login details: user name, password
** Block the use of your login details if you suspect they are being used fraudulently (e.g. theft of your eID /E+ /Kids-ID)

** or your federal token then follow the instructions on the screen.

Why? :
You can only make use of numerous online e-gov services once your identity has been confirmed. In order to authenticate yourself for these services, you must first register on this portal. Once you have registered, you can access all the abovementioned management functions.

How?:
Identify yourself by means of your eID /E+ /Kids-ID then follow the instructions on the screen.

Federal Public Services and Public Planning Services (FPS and PPS) :
Although you will still come across the term from time to time in certain texts, the word ‘ministry’ is now virtually entirely a thing of the past. As part of the most recent major reforms to Belgium’s federal administrative structure, called the ‘Copernic’ reforms, which took place in 2000, what were formerly known as ‘ministries’ were renamed ‘Federal Public Services’ (FPS). The Ministry of Defence alone retained its former name.

The tasks entrusted to the Federal Public Services are the same as those given to the former ministries. This means that each FPS still has a minister, even though the emphasis is now on providing services to citizens.

A number of Federal Public Planning Services (PPS) have also been created alongside the Federal Public Services. PPS handle ad hoc matters associated with socially-based issues that require coordination between several FPS, such as the policy on equal opportunity or sustainable development.

Federal Public Services (FPS) :
Chancellery of the Prime Minister FPS :
The Chancellery of the Prime Minister FPS supports the Prime Minister in guiding and coordinating government policy. This FPS provides the Prime Minister with support in areas such as content and administration, as well as aspects of legal, logistical and communication-related matters. Personnel and Organisation FPS :
The Personnel and Organisation FPS (P&O) acts to ensure that federal agents and services operate properly. P&O monitors the implementation of a professional working environment in which each individual is able to progress satisfactorily. Budget and Management Control FPS :
The task set the Budget and Management Control FPS (BMC) is to support the government in developing, monitoring and implementing budget policy, while taking account of Belgium’s international obligations and the institutional framework of the Federal State.
