How To Apply For Mauritius Recruitment Licence?
The recruitment of workers is governed by the Recruitment of Workers Act 1993 and regulations made there under.

An application for a Recruitment Licence should be made on the prescribed form which is available at the Mauritius Employment Division.
The Recruitment Licence authorises a company/individual to recruit the following categories of workers:
(i) Citizens of Mauritius for employment in Mauritius; and/or
(ii) Citizens of Mauritius for employment abroad; and/or
(iii) Non-Citizens for employment in Mauritius.
Documents to be submitted:
When applying for a Recruitment Licence, the following documents have to be submitted with the application form:
Particulars of Staff to be employed by the agency;
Copy of Certificate of Incorporation if application is being made by a company; and
Evidence of contract with employers, if any.
How To Apply For Mauritius Security Deposit Licence?
Mauritius Security Deposit/Licence:
Once an application for a recruitment licence has been approved,the company/individual is called upon to pay a fee of Rs12,000. A Recruitment Licence, is valid for a period of two years. Furthermore, a security deposit for the sum of Rs 500,000 has to be furnished to the Accountant-General by the applicant in the event that he proposes to recruit citizens of Mauritius for employment abroad and Non-Citizens for employment in Mauritius.
How To Renew Mauritius Recruitment Licence?
Renewal of Mauritius Recruitment Licence:
Applications for renewal of Recruitment Licence should be submitted 6 months prior to expiry of current Licence.
Procedures To Recruit Labour in Bulk :
Companies wishing to recruit expatriate workers in bulk have to fill in the request form and submit to the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations & Employment (Employment Division) for consideration.
Other main conditions :
** A ratio of three Mauritians to one expatriate is applicable particularly in the Manufacturing sector.
** Expatriates in employment in Mauritius should be aged between 20 to 60 years old.
** Some expatriates employed at managerial/supervisory/technical levels are usually granted work permits subject to training of a suitable Mauritian counterpart for eventual taking over.?
Employment Of Foreign Skilled workers in Export Oriented Enterprises (EOE) Sector :
** This Ministry may consider applications for the renewal, of the work permit granted to skilled workers employed in the Export Oriented Enterprises if their services are still required beyond four years. These workers would no longer be required to spend one year abroad after their fourth year of employment in Mauritius before applying for another work permit; and
** in the event that the workers would stay in Mauritius for a period exceeding 5 years, they would be required to swear the relevant affidavits.
