Seychelles is a visa-free country meaning that there are no visa requirements for any person wishing to travel to this country.

However, in accordance with guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO), as part of enhanced precautionary measures to prevent the importation of the Ebola virus in Seychelles, the Government of Seychelles has as of 13 March, 2015 revised the list of countries whose citizens require visa prior to arrival in Seychelles to include only those countries with registered cases of the Ebola Virus. Therefore, citizens of only the following countries still require visa to enter Seychelles:

Nationals of the aforementioned countries are urged to apply for visa well in advanced (at least one month) prior to undertaking any plans to travel to Seychelles as otherwise entry into the country will be refused.
With the exception of Seychellois, nationals of other countries who travelled to these countries listed above will have to stay for a minimum period of 21 days in a country not included in this aforementioned list prior to entering Seychelles.
It is to be noted that although a visa is not required prior to entering Seychelles for any nationals, they should nevertheless have in their possession a valid passport or other travel documents recognized by Seychelles to be awarded entry into the country. The passport must be valid for the period of the intended stay until arrival back in the holder’s country of origin or residence.
A stay visitor’s permit is issued on arrival in Seychelles to a person who comes for the purpose of holiday, business, visiting friends or family and who meet the following criteria:
a) is not a prohibited immigrant;
b) is not holder of a valid permit which entitles that holder to reside in Seychelles;
c) holds a valid return or onward ticket for duration of the visit;
d) has confirmed accommodation; and
e) has sufficient funds for duration of the stay (minimum of US0 or equivalent per day).

What is a Visa?
A visa is basically an endorsement in the passport or other travel document made by a (Diplomatic Mission/Consular) official of a Government to indicate that the bearer has been granted authority to enter or re-enter the country concerned.
A visa, transit visa or a visa exemption for a country does not guarantee admission to a country. The final decision rests with the competent authorities at the port of entry in the country concerned. A valid visa is required each time a passenger enters or re-enter a country where visa is required. The date of validity shown on visa must be respected.

It is entirely up to the visa applicant to satisfy the visa officer of a foreign immigration authority or a foreign diplomatic representation that he/she is a bona fide visitor. How long do I have to wait for a visa?
The length of time for the processing of a visa application varies from country to country : from 48 hours in some cases and up to 3 months in others. In all cases it is advisable to apply as early as possible.
