Emergency Reports and Information should not be entered through this system but either by calling personally at any of the stations spread around Malta or Gozo or else by calling 112 if something needs immediate attention.

The Main Facilities:
Criminal Incident Reporting:
The information to be entered needs to be detailed if swift actions is needed. Lack of details or information will lead to a general degradation of the service that can be given by the respective section. Of special notice are details about locations, persons and objects. The dynamics of an incident are to be expressed in full.

You may not remain anonymous when submitting this type of report.

Fallacious reports will be rejected and an investigation will be triggered to find the perpetrator and bring him to justice. Reports that are considered to be dubious might imply that the person appearing as the complainant be contacted to call at the police station and confirm his / her report.

Official copies of the report may be obtained after the report has been fully accepted to be entered into the central Malta Police Force reports system and may then be collected from every office of the various main police stations.

Lost Property Reporting:
Please take care to include the whereabouts (if known), physical details about the object(s) (including its value). If the report is being entered for insurance purposes, this needs to be stated in the report.

Giving Information:
Please take special care to include details about what you are reporting. The information given is automatically routed to the appropriate section who deals with the particular crime about which your information is about.

Confidentiality is strictly adhered to.
