Security Information:
All online card payments are protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128 bits, which is the highest level commercially available. Your payment card details are directly processed by the Payment Management Division of Capita Software Services, a leading provider of secure online payments services to local government, and are not collected nor accessible by the Council.

Capita Software Services’ online payment management solutions are independently and rigorously security assessed, and are certified by Visa and MasterCard as a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 payment processor. To make a payment:
To make an on-line payment, have your payment details and a debit or credit card to hand, and simply complete the following screens. If you do not wish to proceed at any point, you can cancel at any time before the payment has actually been completed, by selecting the ‘Cancel’ button. This will take you back to the start page, but you may need to delete the item from the payment basket if cancelling from screen 4 or above.

After you have finished:
If you share your PC, or if you are using it in a library or Internet cafe, you should completely disconnect from the Guernsey.Government portal to ensure that your card details remain secure when you have finished making your payment.

Moving between screens:
Please use the buttons provided on the screens to move between screens. The forward and back arrows of your own browser will in most cases expire your session. This is for security reasons.

Cards accepted:
We accept payments by Delta, Maestro, Solo, Visa or Mastercard.

There is no charge for payments made by debit card (Delta, Maestro or Solo). However, if you wish to pay by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) we will make a charge of 2.0% of the value of the amount being paid. This represents the recovery of the charges made to us for the processing of the transaction.

Payment Basket:
I If you have more than one type of contribution to pay, you will be able to add these to a basket of payments which may be paid by one card transaction.

Items in the payment basket may be deleted, but cannot be amended. To amend an item you need to delete it and re-enter it.

Payments for States accounts other than Social Security payments must be made with separate card transactions. They cannot be added to the Social Security basket of payments.

If you have items in your payment basket, be sure to enter your card details and complete the payment before exiting to pay any other types of States accounts. Otherwise the items in your basket will remain unpaid, and will have to be entered again.
