Extra Care Housing :
** There are two Extra Care Housing schemes managed by the Department: La Nouvelle Maraitaine, Vale; and Le Grand Courtil, St Martin.

** They’re for people aged 18 and over who need care and support staff on hand. The Schemes have self-contained one and two bed apartments, some of which are available under the Partial Ownership Scheme, and some which are available for rent.

** The Schemes also have communal facilities like restaurants, lounges, hairdressers, assisted bathing, lifts to all floors, and a staff call system. That means residents can socialise with friends and family, either in their flats or in the shared spaces. Extra Care Housing is about providing a community within a community.

** Extra Care Housing is designed to help people live as independently as possible, with the confidence of being in a safe environment with a flexible, tailored package of care and support offered by trained staff.

** Housing 21 operate an Extra Care Housing Scheme at Rosaire Court, St Peter Port. For more information on that Scheme please contact Sandie White on 739820 or sandie.white@housing21.co.uk.
