Registration of Individual Entrepreneur :
Business Registry (of entrepreneurial and non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal persons):
Business registry is a compilation of registration data of entrepreneurial and non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal persons, as well as of braches of foreign enterprise or non-commercial legal persons.

What does “registration” mean?:
Registration is a record of decisions regarding establishment, changes in the registration data and/or annulment of registration in the business registry of entrepreneurial and non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal persons.
Individual entrepreneur:
Individual Entrepreneur is a physical person who carries out entrepreneurial activity, and is registered as an entrepreneur in the registry and bears personal responsibility before creditors for any and all obligations arising from its entrepreneurial activity.
What is the entrepreneurial activity?:
The entrepreneurial activity is a multiple and legitimate activity of a subject, which is carried out with the purpose to make profit, independently and in organized manner.
Individual’s artistic, scientific, medical, architectural, legal or notary, audit, consulting (including tax consultants), agricultural or forestry activities are not considered as entrepreneurial activities. Consequently, person carrying out such activities is not obliged to register as individual entrepreneurs in the register.
For whom is the registration service envisioned?:
This service is envisioned for physical persons, who wish to commence entrepreneurial activities. Georgian citizens, as well as non-citizens and stateless persons may register as individual entrepreneurs.
Can a minor (under 18) register as an individual entrepreneur?:
Registration of a minor as an individual entrepreneur can only occur on the basis of consent of his/her legal representative (parent, guardian, and custodian).
Who can apply for this service?:
An applicant for service may be directly interested party (a person, who wants to register as an individual entrepreneur) or legal representative of the interested party.
Where should I apply to register as an individual entrepreneur?:
To register as an individual entrepreneur, please refer to the Public Service Hall and submit following documentations:
1. Application (to be filled by front office operator);
2. A copy of your ID card;
3. A receipt of payment of state duty (payment may be done on spot).
If the person is registering as an individual entrepreneur on the address different from the one indicated in his/her ID card and which is not his/her property, additionally the owner’s consent is requires or a duly drawn up and approved contract to use this property (lease, rent, lending agreement, etc.).
If you are a legal representative of an interested party than, additionally, you need to submit an authorized power of attorney and a copy of your ID card.
On case by case basis, additional documentation or information may be requested to make a decision on given case.
Terms of service and the state duty:
Within one business day 20 GEL
On the same day 50 GEL
The term begins on the second day of registration and ends on the last day of the term. If the last day of the term coincides with holidays or weekends, than the last day of the term is the following business day.
