Information On How To Apply For Ecg Services :

A) Application Procedure For New Applicants:
** Click on New Application Form on the Home page.
** Read the information on ECG Service Connection for applicants and Conditions of Supply on the Information Page.

** Click on Application Form to open the application form.
** Complete the form by providing the required information.
** Click on Save and Continue Later if you have not filled out all the required information. Print or note the Reference Number after saving your application. This is the number you can use to retrieve your saved application form

** Click on Submit to submit the completed form if all the details have been filled out.
** Print the Supply Application Invoice.
** Print and complete the Declaration Slip.
** Attach the Original and Photocopy of your Site Plan.
** Present the Invoice, the Declaration slip and the Original and Photocopy of your Site Plan at the ECG District office for payment and further processing.
** Take your Schedule Slip which bears the date for the scheduled meeting with an Estimator.

B) Application Procedure For Existing Applicants:
** Click on Existing Application Form to display the Existing application form page
** Enter the saved form Reference/Serial Number into the input box.
** Click on Get Form to retrieve the saved application.
** Complete the form by providing the required information.
** Click on Save and Continue Later you have not filled out all the required information.
** Click on Submit to submit the completed form.
** Print the Supply Application Invoice.
** Print and complete the Declaration Slip.
** Attach the Original and Photocopy of your Site Plan.
** Present the Invoice, the Declaration slip and the Original and Photocopy of your Site Plan at the ECG District office for payment and further processing.
** Take your Schedule Slip which bears the date for the scheduled meeting with an Estimator.

Information On ECG Service Connection For Non-Slt Applicants :
A) What Ecg Expects From The Applicant:
Engage a licensed electrician to do the internal wiring of your premises. The applicant should study the Conditions of Supply attached to this Supply Application Form before filling the form. The following accessories must also be put in place:
** A meter board fixed not more than 1.8m (6ft) from the ground and located in an accessible area in the house (e.g. veranda, porch or corridor)
** Buried earth rod(s)
** Fixed Main switch
** Fittings such as consumer units, sockets, switches, lamp holders, etc. in place
** Visible service wires from the fascia board to the meter board
Please get the original and a photocopy of your Site Plan.

Submit the completed application form and the original and the photocopy of your Site Plan to the Customer Relations Assistant at the District Office which serves your area. The CRA will examine the original copy of the Site Plan and return it to you. You will then be given a slip which bears your application reference number. Please present this slip any time you check on your application.

B) What To Expect From ECG:
The CRA will schedule you to go with an Estimator to your premises for inspection of the items listed in (A) above and testing of the installation. If for some unforeseen reason(s) ECG is unable to honour the appointment, it will be rescheduled at your earliest convenience, but this not happen more than once. If it does, contact the District Manager immediately for redress.
If the Estimator is satisfied with your installation, he will ask you to report to the CRA after 3-5 working days to collect your quotation letter. However, if the Estimator disapproves of your installation, you will be required to remedy all identified deficiencies and report back to the CRA for the inspection to be re-scheduled.

Where there are materials in stock to provide the service connection, the CRA will ask you to make the payment after issuing you with the quotation letter. Your service will be connected within:
Five (5) working days for service from existing supply line
One (1) Month if the service requires the extension of supply line. (LI1816) Section 2 (5)

Where the materials are not available, the customer will be contacted and requested to make the payment when the materials for the service connection are available.

An ECG authorized contractor shall draw your service and a staff from ECG shall install your meter at the same time. The supply will also be switched on by a staff of ECG. If your supply is not switched on within 48 hours of the drawing of your service connection, please report to the CRA.

If for some unforeseen reason the time for your service connection is re-scheduled by the CRA, you will be given an explanation. Here again, this shall not happen more than once. If it does, please contact the District Manager. In any situation where the District Manager does not sufficiently address your concern to your installation, please report to the Regional Director.
