Pre-Authorized payment plan :
Enjoy the convenience of having your payment automatically withdrawn from your bank account.

The advantages:
Convenient — Have your payment automatically withdrawn from your chequing account each month. Forget about writing cheques, waiting in line-ups or paying postage or late payment charges.
Easy and free — All banks, trust companies and credit unions participate in the FortisBC Pre-Authorized Payment Plan, and there is no fee for joining.

How the Plan works

With our convenient Pre-Authorized Payment Plan, we automatically withdraw your bill payments from your bank account.

The amount your financial institution charges to process your transaction varies, depending on the type of financial institution and the type of account you maintain. The amount you are charged should not exceed the cost your bank would otherwise charge you for processing a cheque.

You may instruct your bank to stop payment at any time prior to the pre-authorized payment clearing your account.

If you would like to withdraw from the plan, just call the phone number on your bill or email indicating that you wish to cancel your enrolment. We require at least two business days cancellation notice.

Cheque :
Be sure to include your FortisBC account number on the front of your cheque.

Mail your payment to:
FortisBC – Natural Gas
PO Box 6666 Station Terminal
Vancouver, BC
V6B 6M9

You may also drop your cheque payment off at one of our drop-box locations.

Telephone or Internet banking :
Important! Be sure to input your FortisBC account number when prompted.
At your financial institution.

Credit card :
You can pay your bill using KUBRA, a third-party credit card payment service.

You may pay via telephone or through KUBRA’s secure website. While you will be paying your account with FortisBC, the full amount of the convenience fee is passed to KUBRA as the provider of the service.

Payment Confirmation

Once you have successfully completed a transaction, you will get a confirmation number. Please note the confirmation number for future reference.

Why the convenience fee?:
Data transmitted over the internet is generally unsecure and at risk of exposure. However, the secure internet payment solution provided by KUBRA assures that your personal and financial information is collected, transmitted, processed, and stored safely.

About the convenience fee:
The convenience fee is intended to help pay the high costs of maintaining a secure Internet payment mechanism, the infrastructure/technology to support such, and ensuring your financial/personal data is kept secure at all times.

If you haven’t received your bill:
If, by any chance, you haven’t received your FortisBC natural gas bill, you can check the amount owing on your account by logging in to Account Online. The Account Online Login link appears in the upper right corner of every page of the FortisBC website.
